Limits on sending emails

Every day a huge number of emails can be sent from your mailbox, which can be regarded as spam. The emails can be sent both with your involvement and without your knowing about it.

In order to avoid this, Yandex has limits on emails sent per day. There are two types of such limits – for the number of sent emails and for the number of recipients for one email.

If you have reached the threshold for one of these limits, sending emails from your mailbox will be blocked for 24 hours. To unblock this, do not try to send emails during this time, as the block starts from the last attempt to send an email.

Note. Only sending emails is blocked. You will be able to log in to Mail and receive emails.

Attention! 

Sending emails can be also be blocked for a smaller number of recipients and sent emails. This happens in the following cases:

  • a considerable number of emails of the same type or template letters, as well as emails with commercial or advertizing proposals are sent from this mailbox;
  • we receive several complaints from users about spam sent from this email address;
  • the sent emails enter the spam catcher;
  • a large number of the emails were sent to nonexistent addresses ;
  • the sent emails had suspicious attachments.
