In approximately two weeks, changes will be made to the means that Yandex.Metrica uses to determine that a click came straight from Yandex.Direct. The main condition will now be the linking of counters to campaign settings.
How to prepare for the changes
If you have counters specified in your campaign: please make sure that the counters are those of the specific site being advertised in that ad campaign. If counters are incorrectly specified, data will no longer be collected in Yandex.Metrica reports, and strategies in Yandex.Direct that optimize goal conversions will not function, such as average CPA.
If counters are not specified, but link tagging for Yandex.Metrica is enabled: enter your counter numbers on the campaign settings page to receive the maximum amount of correct statistics possible in Yandex.Metrica after the transition.
If counters are not specified, and tagging links for Yandex.Metrica is disabled: in this case, Yandex.Metrica will no longer receive statistics for the campaign, Yandex.Direct will not show data from Yandex.Metrica, and strategies that optimize goal conversion will not function. Additional notifications will be sent to clients whose campaigns have no counters and have disabled link tagging.
