How contextual data is used
Contextual data includes interface texts and their subject matter, the interaction of the audience with the content and other similar information. As a result, ads are selected more precisely, in light of both user behavior and the context of the app. At the same time:
- You retain control over your settings, so you can limit the use of contextual data or completely disable it.
- Data is used securely, in accordance with the ISO standard.
How to take contextual data into account
To use contextual data for monetization, enable the AppMetrica SDK in your app. If you already have it configured, simply make sure you are using version 3.14.3 or higher.
You can disable the use of contextual data at any time:
- in the entire app,
- on one or more screens (activity),
- or on a specific part of the screen (view).
Make sure to disable the use of contextual data in places in the app where users share sensitive information.
To learn more about disabling contextual data, see the Help.
