By seamlessly integrating MediaMarkt into the customer journey with engaging, interactive placements, we fostered strong engagement and solidified MediaMarkt’s connection with its audience. — What challenges was your client facing?

— MediaMarkt Türkiye has a strong brand recognition, but to ensure continuous visibility, it was important for the company to make its brand easily spotted in the navigation app.

— What approach did you take to meet this challenge?

— We decided to use in-app display advertising on Yandex Navi. By adding New Year-themed ad creatives and a gift box icon created within Premium Billboard and Influencer formats, we aimed to grab users' attention and encourage them to connect with the brand online.

— How did you implement ads in Yandex Navi as part of your solution?

— We designed visuals and a special gift box icon capturing the holiday spirit. These ads popped up seamlessly on Yandex Navi while users were navigating the route. The campaign was special due to four factors:

  • Innovative format. By using in-app ads with clickable icons, MediaMarkt stood out in a new and engaging way, differentiating from traditional advertising formats.
  • Location-based targeting. According to the IPSOS’ research, Yandex Navi is the second most popular navigation app in Türkiye. It offers a unique opportunity to reach users looking to buy presents in nearby places. 
  • High engagement. Many people use the app during their daily commutes or while traveling. This meant our ads could catch their eye at the right moments when they were on the go.
  • New Year relevance. The festive-themed ads and the gift box icon were fitting in with the holiday shopping.
