Making changes to automatic strategies in display campaigns on the fly

Managing your budget, CPM limit and placements period for display campaigns in Yandex.Direct just got easier. You can now adjust parameters for automatic strategies with a specified placement period without needing to stop or restart the strategy.


Sometimes, adjustments need to be made to a strategy that you have already launched. Previously, this meant needing to re-create the strategy and re-enter all the settings. Now, however, you now have the option to adjust the settings of existing (already launched) campaigns on the fly, changing your budget, CPM or the period of the strategy without having to stop and restart the campaign. This makes planning your budget easier, since you don't need to think about recalculations when changing settings. This saves time and, more importantly, helps stick to your budget over the placement period, and in general allows more flexible management of your campaigns.

Any changes that you make will be applied within 24 hours. Take note that when you adjust settings, you should make sure that your budget is sufficient for the strategy to work with your bid over the set period. In any case, Yandex.Direct will check the settings and tell you if any of them is incorrectly set.

According to our data, more than 70% of advertisers are already use automatic strategies for their display campaigns in Yandex.Direct, choosing one of two options: maximum reach with the Decrease price for repeat impressions strategy or Maximize impressions for lowest price.
