How do adjustments work?
Adjustments for ads in Telegram channels apply to the entire channel rather than individual users. The system analyzes the channel’s subscriber base, determines whether it aligns with your target audience, and adjusts the CPC when placing your ads. The size of the adjustment depends on the percentage of the audience that fits the selected characteristics.
Let’s take an example
Your CPC is 100 rubles. You want your ads to appear in channels with a predominantly male audience. To achieve this, you’re willing to increase the CPC by 50%.
- In a channel with a 20% male audience, your CPC will be: 100 + 100 × 50% × 20% = 110 rubles
- In a channel with an 80% male audience, your CPC will be: 100 + 100 × 50% × 80% = 140 rubles
How to apply CPC adjustments to channels with your target audience
1. At the audience group level, select Adjustments.
2. Select the relevant segments and specify the coefficients. You can set an adjustment from −50 to +200% of the maximum CPC.
- For example, if your base CPC is 80 rubles and you set a +100% adjustment for channels with a 30% male audience, your actual CPC will be 104 rubles. It’s calculated as follows: 80 + 80 × 100% × 30% = 80 + 24 = 104 rubles.
Note
- You can use adjustments in both new and ongoing campaigns.
- If you select Kazakhstan or Belarus in the geography settings, you won’t be able to launch ad campaigns with adjustments. This limitation exists because the system is still adapting to the specifics of these regions.
