General terms and conditions
- These prices do not include Swiss VAT (8%) unless stated otherwise.
- The minimum order value (unless agreed otherwise) is

c. 500 CHF - CPM stands for cost per 1000 impressions.
- Any note that reads ‘1 day’ means that delivery of the advertising materials starts at 00:00 and finishes within 24 hours or when the number of impressions of the advertisements reaches the limit set out in the corresponding order, depending on which of the aforementioned events occurs later.
- Any note that reads ‘1 week’ (‘2 weeks’, ‘4 weeks’) means that the advertising materials are to be delivered from 00:00 Monday until 24:00 the following Sunday (or 2 or 4 weeks later, respectively) or when the number of impressions of the advertisements reaches the limit set out in the corresponding order, depending on which of the aforementioned events occurs later. Only full-week packages are available.
- For the purposes of geotargeting, the term ‘Russian regions’ shall refer to constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as to the cities of the Russian Federation to which geotargeting setting is applicable. If Moscow is specified as the target region for display advertising, ads shall also be delivered in the Moscow Region. If St. Petersburg is specified as the target region for display advertising, ads shall also be delivered in the Leningrad Region.
- While rendering the services of delivering media ads, the following settings can be applied (if that is explicitly stated in a specific clause of the Resolution):
- Sociodemographic targeting: ‘gender’, ‘gender and age’, ‘gender, age, and income’.
- Behavioural retargeting:
— Delivering advertising materials to users who have visited one of the advertiser’s sites specified when ordering the services (the target users are determined via a Metrica counter code installed on the advertiser’s web sites, hereafter referred to as “the Yandex code”). This targeting can only be set if the number of unique visitors to the advertiser’s site for the past 30 (thirty) days before the intended campaign start date has been no less than 20 000 (twenty thousand).
— Behavioural retargeting from the Yandex’s services — the ads will be delivered to users who have already visited some sections of the Yandex’s services: Market, Auto, Realty, News. The advertiser’s selection of sections is subject to an agreement with Yandex. This targeting can only be set if for the last 30 (thirty) days before the intended campaign start date the number of users who demonstrate target behaviour has been no less than 20 000 (twenty thousand).
- Service Segments “Audiences”. The segment is generated by the advertiser using the “Audiences” service (https://audience.yandex.com). Using the settings is only possible when the number of unique users per segment / number of segments have been added to the advertiser using the service “auditor” will be no less than 20 000 (twenty thousand) people. The other parameters (including the name of the segment / group segments). segment and ways of its use are determined independently by the advertiser Web front-end
- Search retargeting — targeting users based on the search terms they used; this setting is provided on request. Yandex does not guarantee that this setting can be applied: the possibility to use the setting is determined by Yandex based on sufficiency of the number of target users needed to render the services comprehensively.
- Audience interests — targeting a specific audience based on particular interests list; this setting is provided on an on demand basis. Yandex does not guarantee that this setting can be applied: the possibility to use the setting is determined by Yandex based on sufficiency of the number of target users needed to render the services comprehensively.
- Light TV viewers — ads will be delivered to users who are determined by Yandex as the target group (light TV viewers — watch TV less than 6 (six) hours a week). The target group is determined by Yandex via online behaviour analysis using Crypta technology.
- Heavy TV viewers — ads will be delivered to users who are determined by Yandex as the target group (heavy TV viewers — watch TV more than 6 (six) hours a week). The target group is determined by Yandex via online behaviour analysis using Crypta technology.
- Targeting by categories of users upon the advertiser’s request. Yandex does not guarantee that this setting can be applied: the possibility to use the setting is determined by Yandex based on sufficiency of the number of target users needed to render the services comprehensively.
- Targeting for cinema-goers — advertising materials are displayed to users who buy tickets on the Yandex services, look through the films’ schedule, show their interest in new movies.
- Local geographic targeting — advertising materials are displayed to users whose geographical location within a city/region is specified by the advertiser.
- Content themes — a condition for display of advertising materials enabling display of advertising materials to users who, according to Yandex, visit web pages on the Internet with a certain content. The target group is determined by Yandex via analysis of user behaviour on the Internet associated with visiting website pages on the Internet having similar content (female content (melodramas, dramas, female shows, etc.), male content (action movies, thrillers, sport, etc.), children’s content (animated cartoons, children’s songs, etc.), family content (comedies, family shows, etc.).
- Settings applicable only to display advertising materials on mobile devices and/or mobile applications (if applicable):
— Mobile operators — advertising materials are displayed only on smartphones, phones and tablets of subscribers of certain mobile operators (provided that such devices can display advertising materials in the relevant format).
— Operating systems — advertising materials are displayed only on smartphones, phones and tablets with certain operating systems; advertising materials are displayed provided that such devices can display advertising materials in the relevant format.
— Mobile device manufactures — advertising materials are displayed only on smartphones, phones and tablets of certain brands (provided that such devices can display advertising materials in the relevant format).
— Connection type — advertising materials are displayed only on smartphones, phones and tablets with a certain type of Internet connection (2G, 3G, WiFi, Ethernet);
— The setting of banner display to potential users of the advertiser’s mobile applications is available. Such users shall be identified by Yandex automatically using the Crypta technology (https://yandex.com/company/technologies/crypta/) based on the analysis of their Internet behavior.
- Custom audience targeting — a condition for display of advertising materials enabling display of ads to users who, according to Yandex, belong to the target group of audience segments that are based on heuristic user behavior patterns and determined by the advertiser as target ones for a specific task. The target group is determined by Yandex via online behaviour analysis using Crypta technology.
- Weather parameters targeting is automatically determined by Yandex.Weather. Yandex does not guarantee that this setting can be applied: the possibility to use the setting is determined by Yandex based on sufficiency of the number of target users needed to render the services comprehensively.
- Temperature parameters targeting is automatically determined by Yandex.Weather. Yandex does not guarantee that this setting can be applied: the possibility to use the setting is determined by Yandex based on sufficiency of the number of target users needed to render the services comprehensively.
- Devices and software targeting — advertising materials are displayed at types of devices as may be chosen by the advertiser — at:
— Computers;
— Smartphones;
— Computers and tablets;
— Smartphones and tablets;
— Computers and smartphones;
— Smartphones and Smart TV;
— Computers, Smart TV and smartphones;
— Tablets;
— Smart TV;

— Targeting genre “Pop”. The genre “Pop” includes pop, estrade, latin folk. The advertising materials will be delivered on Yandex.Music and Yandex.Radio services after songs of the according genre.
— Targeting genre “Rock”. The genre “Rock” includes metal, punk, postrock, hardcore, ukrrock. The advertising materials will be delivered on Yandex.Music and Yandex.Radio services after songs of the according genre.
— Targeting genre “Electro / Dance Music”. The genre “Electro / Dance Music” includes techno, disco, sport, dance, electronics, house, trance, dnb, dubstep, industrial, dub. The advertising materials will be delivered on Yandex.Music and Yandex.Radio services after songs of the according genre.
— Targeting genre “Light Music”. The genre of “Light Music” includes jazz, lounge, relax, classical, blues, conjazz, tradjazz, country, meditation, reggae, romances. The advertising materials will be delivered on Yandex.Music and Yandex.Radio services after songs of the according genre.
— Targeting genre “Chanson”. The genre “Chanson” includes chanson, bard music, Russian bard music. The advertising materials will be delivered on Yandex.Music and Yandex.Radio services after songs of the according genre.
— Targeting the genre of “Rap”. The genre “Rap” includes Russian rap, rap, rnb. The advertising materials will be delivered on Yandex.Music and Yandex.Radio services after songs of the according genre.
- Advertising networks targeting — advertising materials are displayed at a group of platforms forming part of an advertising network:

— other Yandex services - Segments of the data providers (DMP) — segments of partner data management platforms (Data Management Platforms) — specialized systems — suppliers of segmented data. The segments are selected by the advertiser through the service Yandex.Audience (https://audience.yandex.com/). The usage of the setting depending on the specific segment selected by an advertiser, can be free or paid. If the setting is paid, the cost of using the setting is indicated on the service Yandex.Audience (https://audience.yandex.com/) and is available to the advertiser when selecting a segment. The cost of using the setting is determined separately from the cost of services on placement of media advertising.
- The possibility of using a particular segment selected by an advertiser may be terminated by DMP. In this case, Yandex sends a notification to an advertiser 30 days prior to the date of termination of possibility of usage of the segment. After the expiration of 30 days after the mailing of the notification order placement of media advertising performed by an advertiser using the corresponding segment is suspended.
- Targeting by flight direction — advertising materials are displayed to users of Yandex.Flights whose flight direction matches the direction specified by the advertiser.
- If conditions of advertising material delivery do not explicitly specify that advertising materials will be delivered to mobile devices, these materials might not be delivered to placements adapted specifically for mobile services.
- If the procedure for advertising service cost calculation specifies that several rates shall apply, these rates shall apply one by one (i. e. multiplied by one another).
- Any suspended order for display advertising may be resumed only when the seasonal rate which was applied thereto for the purposes of service cost calculation is in effect.
- Any unspent amount of the payment for the delivery of the advertising material which had stopped running one week or more before any changes in the seasonal rate occurred may be refunded to the advertiser upon request, unless the advertiser and Yandex enter into different agreement.
- 12. In case the price for media advertising services under present terms and conditions is expressed in other than USD, EUR, CHF, UZS currency (rubles, hryvna), this price shall be converted into the respective currency stipulated in the services agreement at the exchange rate of the currency to the Russian ruble, fixed by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the date of invoice/order. In case the price for media advertising services under present terms and conditions is expressed in UZS, this price shall be converted into the respective currency stipulated in the services agreement at the exchange rate of the currency to UZS fixed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the date of invoice/order.
- The seasonal rate for all the Yandex services related to placement of advertising materials on the Internet (unless otherwise agreed in this Resolution and/or in the Yandex Europe AG Marketing Policy for 2022) shall be as follows:

- The services of display advertising placement shall be rendered in compliance with the terms and conditions set out in the document ‘Procedure for placement of display advertising materials on Yandex internet display places’ published in the public domain on the Internet at: https://yandex.com/legal/media_procedure_ch/.
- The cost of display advertising placement indicated on https://yandex.com/adv/ is determent by Yandex and the advertiser separately.
- For the purposes of this document (where applicable), advertising materials in the “100% × X pixels” format will be understood as formats in which ad materials “X pixels” in size will occupy 100% of the width of the user’s screen. For the purposes of this point, “X pixels” stands for the banner height in pixels applicable for the relevant ad format.
- If the advertiser formats advertising materials in HTML5, such advertising materials shall meet the requirements stated in “HTML5 Banner Ads. Advertising Requirements” publicly available on the Internet at: https://yandex.com/adv/requirements/html5.
- If the advertiser chooses “Auction” as a principle of media advertising placement, it will be able to use setting strategies to display its advertising materials publicly available on the Internet at: https://yandex.com/adv/materials/strategies
- Advertising materials shall meet the requirements stated in the “Technical requirements for 728×90 banner ads with drop-down” available on the Internet at: https://yandex.com/adv/requirements/mainpage (if applicable).
- Advertising materials shall meet the requirements stated in “General rules for advertisers creating advertising materials for the Yandex.Afisha service” publicly available on the Internet at https://yandex.com/adv/requirements/afishareq.
- When providing services related to the placement of display advertising, Yandex may, at its own discretion, grant to an advertiser a discount amounting to the cost of invalid (improper or erroneous) impressions identified in accounting periods following the accounting period, in which such impressions were made. The said discount is not paid to the advertiser (inter alia, if the agreement is cancelled) and may be used by the advertiser only through placement of advertisements in the format of display advertising for the amount of the discount granted. The discount shall be granted to the advertiser having an agreement for the services that were not completed at the time of granting, or (in the absence of such agreement) — to the advertiser, who benefited from the services under the agreement that had terminated before the discount was granted. The said advertiser shall guarantee to Yandex that all requirements stipulated Yandex for the services involving ad placement to the amount of such discount will be met. Services provided to the amount of the discount granted shall be confirmed by Yandex statistics available to the advertiser in the client web interface.

- Mobile version of the Yandex Main Page — advertising materials are placed on the Mobile version of the Yandex Main Page available on the Internet at https://ya.ru/ and/or on the Main page of Yandex Search App for Android.
