  9. Advertising labeling

This tab is only relevant for ads served in Russia.

To learn more about ad labeling, see Help.

We’ll take a closer look at the main tabs in the next materials.

Topic 3. Set up different user roles and manage access

In Adfox, you can assign user roles with different permissions:

  • Administrator, the owner of the Adfox account.
  • Advertiser, the owner of ad campaigns.
  • Site owner, a representative of the site where ads are placed.
  • Assistant, a user who assists the administrator.

The roles of advertiser, inventory owner, and assistant are all assigned by the administrator.

The administrator can further customize user access to different features based on their specific duties. For example, a traffic manager may need to manage banners, an analyst may need to view reports, a sales representative may need to label the advertising inventory, and a sales department manager may need full access to all these features.

Administrator

When you register with Adfox, an administrator account is automatically created. This account is connected to your Yandex Advertising Network login, so you can easily switch between the Yandex Advertising Network and Adfox.

As an administrator, you can:

  • Manage all system settings.
  • Create accounts for other users.

When creating a user account, an invitation message is sent to the user’s email address. When the user clicks the link from the message, they agree to link their Yandex ID with the Adfox account.

Advertiser

Advertisers have access to statistics for their ad campaigns. Optionally, you can also grant them access to manage the banners in their ad campaigns.

When creating an ad campaign, be sure to indicate the advertiser by selecting them from the user list.

  • If the advertiser doesn’t require access to view statistics or manage banners, specify the system’s default advertiser

  • If the advertiser needs access to view statistics and manage banners, create a new user account with the ‘Advertiser’ role.

How to create an advertiser account

Advertiser permissions

To manage advertiser permissions, use these tools:

  1. Parameters
Here you can change access settings for reports and tabs. For example, you can grant access only to general reports or to the report builder.
  2. Campaigns
From here, you can navigate to the advertiser’s campaigns and allow the advertiser to add, edit, or delete banners within them. To allow the advertiser access to banners within a particular campaign, go to the campaign and enable the option “Advertiser can edit banners”.
  3. Available reports
Here you can choose which reports the advertiser can access.

To learn more about advertiser accounts, see Adfox Help.

Site owner

The site owner has access to statistics for the inventory where they are listed as the site owner.

How to create a site owner account

Site owner permissions

Just like with advertisers, you can manage site owner permissions using these tools:

  1. Parameters
Here you can grant access to:
    • View banner impressions and ad responses
    • Manage ad campaigns
    • Use the report builder
  2. Available reports
Here you can choose which reports the site owner can access.

To learn more about site owner accounts, see Adfox Help.

Assistant

An assistant helps the administrator. The user with this role helps the administrator manage ad campaigns and may have access to detailed statistics and reports.

How to create an assistant account

Assistant permissions

In parameters, you can specify the permissions the assistant will have:

  • Manage campaigns or have read-only access (to all campaigns or selected campaigns only).
  • Manage sites or have read-only access (to all sites or selected sites only).
  • Add new advertisers or select from a list of existing advertisers.
  • Edit banner types and templates.
  • Access general reports.

To learn more about assistant accounts, see Adfox Help.
