Recommendations from Yandex Direct
Fix incorrect URLs in ad links
Links given in ads are checked daily. If any of them don’t work, the system stops the ad and shows a list of banners that lead to pages with errors. You’ll be able to fix them quickly and easily. If a link starts working before you fix it, Yandex Direct will reactivate the ad after its next check.
Keep in mind that when a link starts working, the system still needs time to check it and remove the warning.
Change settings to get more conversions and clicks
The system analyzes your campaign settings alongside statistical indicators and generates personal recommendations. For example, it tells you how many additional conversions you could get if you increased your budget by a certain amount. The forecast depends on the task set by the advertiser: maximum clicks or maximum conversions.
If the algorithm doesn’t identify any other actions that would help, a recommendation will not appear.
Adjust budget limits on a shared account
To make sure that the budget limit on a shared account doesn’t interfere with your campaigns, it must align with the individual settings of each campaign. Yandex Direct tracks the stability and consistency of ad impressions and, if impressions stop, it identifies the reason. If the issue is caused by budget limits on a shared account, the system will recommend raising the limit.
User behavior is always changing, and so are their search queries. Tracking these changes is difficult and takes time. Autotargeting helps show your ads to users who are interested in them, regardless of their search queries. In the recommendations, you’ll find examples of selected queries and a list of the campaigns where you can enable autotargeting.
Recommendations are categorized into several types, which you can easily identify by their color:
- Red: Something went wrong and your settings are critically affecting your campaigns. These need to be viewed first.
- Yellow: Limits are affecting your campaigns and you should adjust your settings.
- Blue: Recommendations for improving the effectiveness of your campaigns.
Where to find recommendations
You can track your recommendations wherever you prefer. There’s an item in the left navigation menu of your account that opens the general recommendations page.
Campaigns that can be improved are marked with a lightning bolt icon.
You’ll find some recommendations right where they can be applied: in the statistics section, when editing settings, and on campaign pages.
Notifications in the Yandex Direct header contain recommendations that apply to your entire login, as well as warnings about system operations.
