1. Now product profile CPC is calculated regardless of the sorting order. Starting this week, we will begin applying a singular rule to determine the amount you are charged per click in three of our most popular Yandex.Market categories – Washing machines, Tablet computers, and Refrigerators. Regardless of how offers are sorted on the page (by price or a combination of rating and price, for example) the the amount you are charged per click on offers in these categories will equal that for clicks on items on the Prices page when they are sorted by default. This is equal to the store bid when taking autobroker into account. Further changes to other categories may take effect later. We will let you know about any such developments.
2. Recommended position bids for the top 6 product profiles will now be calculated based partly on the entry threshold (i.e. the minimum bid for entry into that block). Please note that the current placement strategy has not changed at all; you can still use data from the interface, API, or PriceLabs to help manage your ad positions. Autobroker’s functioning will also take account of the entry threshold.
The formula used to calculate the threshold was developed based on many different parameters, including price level specifics and demand in various areas. This new auction condition was tested out over a long period of time and is now being implemented on a permanent basis and included in the General Terms and Conditions for Yandex.Market Services.
3. Towards the end of September, a unique ymclid-tag will be automatically added to all Yandex.Market product offer links. These tags will allow Yandex.Metrica to record not only every click that is made on a product offer on Yandex.Market, but also on Yandex Search ad blocks and on the third-party sites of the content API. Thanks to this, you will have a better idea of your traffic sources and it will be easier to track how effective your offers are. Additionally, ymclid-tags are one of the best ways to quickly filter out malicious clicks.
If your store website does not support ymclid-tags, please let your manager or a Yandex.Market Support staff member know (to check your site’s performance, add ?ymclid=123456 to the end of any page address, for example: https://market.yandex.ru/?ymclid=123456).
