From September 1, 2015 the cumulative discounts system will no longer be applied to calculate the cost of the services rendered in Yandex.Direct. That decision is part of the deep changes to the system, which should make advertising terms more transparent and beneficial for auction participants.
How the process of cancelling discounts will work:
- If you use the multicurrency version of the Yandex.Direct interface, the cumulative discount is applied per click. Therefore you will simply notice that the CPC is displayed without discount.
- If you use the conditional units version of the Yandex.Direct interface, then your ad campaigns’ credit includes funds corresponding to the amount of the cumulative discount. September 1, 2015, at 00:00 Moscow time, your account's credit for all active ad campaigns will be displayed without discounts – in the interface you will only see actual payment sums available. Cumulative discount will cease to be applied when calculating the cost of the services rendered.Similarly, the inactive ad campaigns credit will be calculated again in the period from September 1 through September 10, 2015. If you re-activate your campaigns during that period, the account’s credit will be calculated again at the moment your campaign starts.
There will be no changes in the ad campaigns statistics.
