Disabling family search mode
If you have trouble disabling family search mode:
- Disable Family mode in Search settings again.
- Clear the browser cache.
- Delete the Yandex cookies. To do this, go to Yandex Internetometer and click the delete cookies link at the bottom of the page.
If family search mode was enabled in an external application or browser extension rather than in the Yandex settings:
- Check if “Parental control” is enabled in “Kaspersky lab”. Disable it.
- Check if the Yandex DNS family mode is configured on your device or in the network. You can't disable family search mode when using it. To select a different mode, use these instructions or contact your system administrator.Tip. On devices with the Windows operating system, after you have disabled the family DNS, we recommend that you run the
ipconfig /flushdns
command. - If you use NetPolice or Safety Minder, temporarily close these programs. They may affect search settings.
