3.5. Addresses

“Addresses” (or “Address points”) are Places in the Yandex Map Editor. Each address point contains information about an item's address. This information is specified via the following address point attributes:

  • Building or property number
  • A pointer that specifies a street, administrative division, or any other item that has a linked mailing address
  • Zip code
Note. Apartment details in the address are added to the building entrance attributes (for more information, see 3.4.3.4.3. Apartment numbers.

The address point is placed inside an item's polygon (building or area), so that the mailing address is linked to that item.

To see address points on the map, enable their display (see Section 2.2.5.2. Choice of layer).

Moreover, you can highlight an item to see its associated address points on the map, even if they are not currently displayed (be it a road, street, an administrative division, or a traffic installation).

For example:

  • If you highlight a Road, you will see its attribute panel and all of the item's associated address points will pop up on the map.

  • If you select an Administrative division (for example, city of Zelenograd), you will see its attribute panel and all of the item's associated address points will pop up on the map:

  • If you select a Road infrastructure item (for example, Arbat Square), you will see its attribute panel and all of the item's associated address points will pop up on the map:
