Data

The Data tab on your account page contains your personal information (full name, gender, age, country of residence), documents (passport, driver's license, and others), addresses, and contact details. Yandex ID provides secure storage for your personal data by encrypting it.

All the important documents are always at hand. You can add new data, edit, change, or delete it at any time.

You can use information from your documents and your addresses in other Yandex services. For example, if you entered your passport information in one service and saved it to Yandex ID, you don't need to enter it again in another service. When you fill out forms, this information is automatically propagated from Yandex ID. This is convenient and saves you time.

In this tab, you can:

Add personal information

Enter your main personal details.

  • Enter your name and birthday.

  • Upload a profile photo.

  • Add your address and phone number.

  • Link social media profiles to your account.

Change the document information

You can add information about documents:

  • When filling out forms in Yandex services.

  • On the Data tab.

    1. In the Documents section, click the document name.

    2. Enter the document data in the new window. You may also upload a photo of the document.

    3. Click Save.

Change addresses

Save your addresses to order delivery on Yandex Market or get directions faster in Yandex Maps or Yandex Navigator.

  1. In the Addresses section, select the one you want to add (home, work, or other).

  2. In the window that opens, start entering the address (country, city, street, house) and select an appropriate option from the list.

  3. In the To help the courier block, enter additional information, such as your apartment number, entrance, floor, and door code. You may leave a comment for the courier.

  4. Click Save.

  2. In the window that opens, click and make changes.
  3. Click Save.

  2. At the bottom of the window that opens, click Delete address.
  3. Confirm your action.
Change contact details

In the Contacts section, you can find your phone numbers, postal addresses (main and additional), as well as linked accounts in other services. You can edit or delete them.

Edit public data

In the Public data section, you can:

  • Go to your reviews and ratings that other users can see in Yandex services.

  • Create an easy-to-remember address for your public pages on Yandex (for example, for your Yandex Q profile).

To add a public address:

  1. In the Public data section, click Public address.

  2. Enter the address or choose one from the list of suggestions. You can use numbers and Latin letters. You can only change your account address twice.

  3. Click Save.
Alice settings

Once Alice is activated on a device or in a service, it records and sends your voice requests to Yandex. The rest of the time, Alice listens to the surrounding sounds so that it can react when it hears the activation phrase. Until it's activated, Alice doesn't record or transmit any information it hears.

Yandex can use the received records to train and improve Alice. The received data is anonymized and cannot be attributed to a specific user. Besides, the user's voice is automatically distorted during the recording, so it cannot be recognized.

To allow or prohibit the use of your data to improve Alice:

  1. In the Manage data section, click Data for Alice.

  2. Enable or disable the Help Alice get better option.

Set up promotional mailing lists

You can manage all Yandex promotional emails in one place:

  1. In the Manage data section, click Promotional emails.

  2. Select Active or All services. Active services are those that sent you emails in the past six months.

  3. If you don't want to receive promotional emails from a service, uncheck it in the list.

    Important. If a service is selected, it doesn't mean you will receive emails. To receive them, subscribe to the promotional mailing list in the relevant service.
  4. Click Save.

Download the archive of personal data

You can download an archive of your personal data currently stored in Yandex services.

To get the archive for your account:

  1. In the Manage data section, click Data on services and make sure you're logged in with the right Yandex ID.

  2. Click Download data.

  3. Click Create archive. Yandex will notify you by email when the process starts.

    Note. If you don't have a Yandex mailbox, you can only check the archive's loading status on the page.
  4. Once the process has finished, Yandex will send you an email to let you know the archive is ready for download.

  5. In the message, click Go to archive and download the archive.

You need a password to unpack the archive. To find it, go to Your data on Yandex and click Show password.

Delete account

When an account is deleted, the associated data is deleted too and the username is blocked for re-registration. You can undo the deletion within 30 days. In this case, we'll restore your data in all Yandex services, except Yandex Mail. If you don't cancel the deletion, your account will be permanently deleted after 30 days.

To delete an account:

  1. In the Manage data section, click Delete account.

  2. At the bottom of the page, enter the code from the image and click Send confirmation code.

  3. Enter the code received on your phone and click Delete account. If you changed your mind, click Back to Passport.
