Layout rules for letters of guarantee

A guarantee letter must be drawn up on behalf of the payer (i.e. the legal entity or individual entrepreneur who is responsible for paying ad-campaign invoices). Guarantee letter requirements vary depending on the type of payer.

  1. Guarantee letter from a legal entity
  2. Guarantee letter from an individual entrepreneur
  3. Templates for letters of guarantee

Guarantee letter from a legal entity

  1. A guarantee letter from a legal entity needs to contain the following information (in the document header on company letterhead):
    • Organization's name
    • Legal address
    • Registration number
    • Contact details
  2. The last page of the guarantee letter should contain the following information:
    • Corporate seal
    • Signing date
    • Signature of the authorized signatory

The guarantee letter should be signed by the director of the organization or a designated representative (in the latter case, please attach a notarized copy of the power of attorney form that grants the representative the right to sign the corresponding documents on behalf of the organization).

  3. All pages of the completed guarantee letter should be sewn together into a single document.
The following information should be contained on the sealing sticker:
    • Signature of the authorized signatory
    • Corporate seal
    • Number of bound pages

If the pages of the guarantee letter are not sewn together, then every page should be numbered and signed by the person who signs the guarantee letter.

  4. The address of the advertised site should be included in the guarantee letter.

It's not necessary to list the concrete addresses of the ad campaign's landing pages because the guarantee letter will be considered void if the webpage address changes.

    Example
Correctly entered URL: www.site.ru or site.ru.
Incorrectly entered URL: www.site.ru/price or www.site.ru/catalog.
  5. If the banner contains a link to one site, but when a user clicks on that link they are re-directed to a different site, then the guarantee letter needs to include both domains.
    Example
If an ad contains a link to www.site1.ru, but clicking the ad redirects the user to www.site2.ru, then the guarantee letter must list both urls.
  6. The letter of guarantee should indicate what the subject of the ad is. For example, if the ad is for a particular make of car, you need to state that the subject is “Cars”.
