Find and replace

Ads

The find and replace tool lets you edit multiple ads at once. You can edit texts, sitelinks, and links in ads.

To find and replace text, go to the Ads tab. Select the desired ads and click Find and replace or Actions → Find and replace. Enter the text you want to find in the Search field, and the text you want to replace it with in the Replace field. Under Search options, select where to search for the fragment. You can change a maximum of 10,000 ads at a time.

Click Show results. All the matching fragments and their replacements will be shown in the search results. If an edit causes an error, for example the maximum field length is exceeded, you'll see a message. Click Replace, and the changes will be applied where possible.

You can add a new text before or after the found one. To do this, instead of Replace, select Add at the beginning or Add at the end from the drop-down list.

You can make changes in all the selected ads without searching for the fragment. To do this, instead of Search, choose Select all fields in the drop-down list. To delete all the found fragments, choose Clear.

Keywords

The find and replace tool lets you quickly edit multiple keywords and negative keywords at once, even if they belong to different campaigns or ad groups. For example, you can fix a typo or add something to a keyword.

To find and replace text, go to the Keywords tab, select the keywords and click Actions → Find and replace. Enter the text you want to find in the Search field, and the text you want to replace it with in the Replace with field. Specify where to search for the fragment: in keywords, negative keywords, or all texts at once. You can change a maximum of 10,000 keywords at a time.

Click Preview to see the changes. The first 60 keywords are displayed in the preview. If everything looks correct, click Replace. The new text will replace the found one.

You can add a new text before or after the found one. To do this, instead of Replace with, select Add at the beginning or Add at the end from the drop-down list.

You can make changes in all the selected keywords without searching for a text. To do this, instead of Search, select All values from the drop-down list.
