Notices in Text & Image Ads

Notices must be added to ads for: medicines, medical services and equipment; breastmilk substitutes, infant formula and baby food; dietary supplements; items that resemble weapons; shared-equity construction and new construction; and financial services. For example:

  • There are contraindications. Consult a doctor.

  • Consult a specialist. For children from 11 months.

  • Not a medicinal substance.

  • Item's design bears resemblance to weapons.

  • Project declaration is published on https://наш.дом.рф. Developer: House on Mars LLC.

  • Consulting in selection of financial services/organizations.

  • “Bank Inc”.

Notices are added automatically to text ads, but you must add them to image ads yourself.

Categories are determined based on the ad's content (title, text, sitelink description), as well as the content of the landing pages. Therefore, even if the ad does not advertise something like medication but one of the sitelink descriptions contains the name of a medication, the corresponding notice will be added.

If the products or services you advertise do not fall under any of the categories listed above but a notice was added to the ad, please contact the support service using the feedback form to remove the notice.

Age restrictions in Text & Image Ads

The “18+” marker should be added to all ads for types of media:

  • Games, movies

  • Concerts, shows, sports events and other entertainment events

  • Print media (newspapers, magazines and books)

  • Programs and series on TV and radio

  • Databases and computer programs

The notice “Consult a Specialist. For baby food intended for children 11 months and older ” should be added to ads for children's food.

Notices are added automatically to Text & Image Ads, but you have to add them to image ads yourself.

If your products address younger audience, you can change the rating yourself on the ad campaign page.

If the products or services you advertise do not belong to any of the abovementioned categories but an age rating has been added to the ad, please contact the support service using the feedback form to remove it.

Notices and age limits in video extensions and video ads

All information required by legislation and Yandex's Ad Serving Rules must be present in video extensions and video ads.

Age ratings and notices will be added to video extensions automatically, just like to text and image ads. However, you need to add legal information in Ad Builder yourself. Only notices will be added to video ads automatically. You need to add age ratings and legal information in Ad Builder yourself.

Notices will be added to ads for: medications, medical services and equipment; breastmilk substitutes, infant formula and baby food; dietary supplements; and items that resemble weapons. For example:

  • Consult a specialist. For children from 11 months.

  • Not a medicinal substance.

Age ratings in a video ad and legal information in a video extension and video ad must be added by the advertiser in Ad Builder. See requirements for legal information for the licensed categories in the advertised subjects and in the list below:

Shared-equity construction

The advertising for shared-equity construction must contain:

  • The name of the legal entity and its organizational and business structure.

  • Information about the location of the project declaration.

For example, project declaration is published on https://наш.дом.рф. Developer: House on Mars LLC.

Distance selling and online stores

Ads for remote sales of products or online stores must contain information about the seller:

  • For legal entities: the name of the legal entity and details about its organizational and business structure, the Principal State Registration Number (OGRN), and legal address.

  • For individual entrepreneurs: the full name of the individual entrepreneur and the Primary State Registration Number of the Individual Entrepreneur (OGRNIP).

Sales

The advertising of sales must contain the dates and/or duration of specific offers.

Motivational and promotional events (limited-time offers, lotteries, competitions)

The advertising of motivational and promotional events must contain:

  • Information on the duration of the event.

  • Where one can find information about the organizer of the event, the rules of the event, the number of prizes or the amount of winnings, the duration of the event, the location of the event, and the procedure in which the prizes or winnings are received.

For example: the competition runs from 10/07/2016 until 30/07/2016. Information on the organizer, rules, dates, as well as the amount of prizes and where and how they are received can be found on the site www.example-site.com.

Financial services

The advertising of financial services must contain the name of the legal entity that provides the services and details about its organizational and business structure and the source of information which is subject to disclosure in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. The information must be clearly visible to the user without the need of any special tools or requiring any additional actions. Text font must be readable at the minimum resolution. The information must remain visible long enough on screen for the entire text in the frame to be read at an average reading speed (150 words a minute).

Ads for assistance in selecting financial services and organizations must contain a notice such as “Consulting in selection of financial services/organizations”.

Age restrictions and notices in image ads

All information required by legislation and Yandex's Ad Serving Rules must be present on the creative for an image ad. Any required labels and restrictions must be added before the creative can be uploaded.

Age restrictions

Advertising of mass-media content that is subject to classification under Russian Federal Law No. 436-FZ“On Protecting Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development” must contain age ratings (0+, 6+, 12+, 16+, 18+).

Shared-equity construction

The advertising for shared-equity construction must contain:

  • The name of the legal entity and its organizational and business structure.

  • Information about the location of the project declaration.

Baby food

The advertising of baby food must contain:

  • age restrictions

  • a notice about the need to consult a healthcare professional

Non-alcoholic drinks

Advertising for non-alcoholic beer or wine must contain a non-alcoholic product sign.

Example of the sign:

Medications, medical services, medical equipment

The advertising of medications, medical equipment, and medical services (including treatment methods) must contain a notice about the presence of contraindications, the need to read the instructions for use, or to consult a healthcare professional. The notice must take up at least 5% of the area of the image ad.

Dietary supplements

The advertising of dietary supplements (biologically-active additives) must contain a notice that the advertised product is not medication. The notice must take up at least 10% of the area of the image ad.

Ads for Forex market services must contain the name of the legal entity providing the services, its business structure, and a notice about any potential risks (for example, “Cosmic Trust, LLC. The financial instruments being offered entail risks and can lead to the loss of all invested funds”). The information must be clearly visible to the user without the need of any special tools or requiring any additional actions. Text font must be readable at the minimum resolution. The information must remain visible long enough on screen for the entire text in the frame to be read at an average reading speed (150 words a minute).

Sports betting

Ads for businesses that take/place bets should contain the following: “Information about the organizer of the gambling event, participation rules, the duration of the event, the number of prizes or the maximum amount of winnings, the location of the event, and how prizes are awarded on the advertised site”.

Ads served to Belarus and Kazakhstan must also include the number of the sports betting license, and the name, website or phone number of the issuing authority.

Certification

Ads for certification centers or intermediary services that accept and review documents should contain the name of the legal entity/full name of the individual entrepreneur providing the service, and the accreditation record number in the register of accredited persons (for example “ Certificate, LLC. # RA.RU.12AB34”). The information must be clearly visible to the user without the need of any special tools or requiring any additional actions. Text font must be readable at the minimum resolution. The information must remain visible long enough on screen for the entire text in the frame to be read at an average reading speed (150 words a minute).

If the subject of your ad is certification assistance (but you do not accept or process documents), the following notice will automatically be added to your text ads: “Consulting in selection of certified persons for evaluation (confirmation) of compliance”.

Products similar in construction to weapons

The advertising of products similar in construction to weapons must contain a notice stating that the product is not a weapon.

Notices and age restrictions in creatives for outdoor advertising

All information required by law and the Yandex Ad Serving Rules must be present on the ad creative.

Age restrictions

Advertising of mass-media content that is subject to classification under Russian Federal Law No. 436-FZ“On Protecting Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development” must contain age ratings (0+, 6+, 12+, 16+, 18+).

The age restriction must take up at least 5% of the creative area and must be visible on the screen throughout the video in each frame.

Information sources

The source of the advertised product or service must be explicitly indicated in the creative. You can meet this requirement by placing the logo, name of the company or brand, or full name of the individual entrepreneur.

Medications, medical services, medical devices and equipment

The advertising of medications, medical services, medical devices and equipment must warn about contraindications and advise to read the instructions or to consult a healthcare professional. Example: “There are contraindications. Consult a healthcare professional”.

The notice must take up at least 5% of the creative area.

Dietary supplements

The advertising of dietary supplements (biologically-active additives) must contain a notice that the product is not medication. Example: “Not a medicinal substance”.

The notice must take up at least 10% of the area of the creative.

Ads for online stores or remote sales of products must contain information about the seller:

  • For legal entities: the name of the legal entity and details about its organizational and business structure, the Principal State Registration Number (OGRN), and legal address.

  • For individual entrepreneurs: the full name of the individual entrepreneur and the Primary State Registration Number of the Individual Entrepreneur (OGRNIP).

Shared-equity construction

The advertising for shared-equity construction must contain:

  • The name of the legal entity and its organizational and business structure.

  • Information about the location of the project declaration.

The notice font size must be 2 times larger than the minimum allowed text size (24 pixels for super sites and 48 pixels for billboards).

Sales

The advertising of sales must contain their dates.

Motivational and promotional events (limited-time offers, lotteries, competitions)

The advertising of motivational and promotional events must contain:

  • Information on the duration of the event.

  • Where one can find information about the organizer of the event, the rules of the event, the number of prizes or the amount of winnings, the duration of the event, the location of the event, and the procedure in which the prizes or winnings are received.

Example: “The contest is held from 07/10/2019 until 07/30/2019. For details about the organizer, rules, quantities, dates, and prize issuing procedure and place, please visit www.example-site.com”.

The advertising of financial services must contain the name of the legal entity that provides the services and details about its organizational and business structure and the source of information which is subject to disclosure in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Ads for assistance in selecting financial services and organizations must contain a notice. Example: “Consulting in selection of financial services/organizations”.

Notices and legal information must be clearly seen while viewing the ad, without any special tools or actions needed. They must be visible on the screen throughout the video in each frame. Legal information, notices, and warnings placed on top of other design elements must be shown in a bar to ensure high-contrast rendering.
