Special rules for ad placement

Payment

You only pay for ad views that happen within 48 hours after your ad is posted.

Views may come in for 48 more hours after the campaign ends. Only unique views for the entire period are counted.

For example, if the same user sees a post multiple times, it counts as one view. A view is counted only when the ad actually appears on screen. If the user scrolls through the feed without seeing the post, the view isn't counted.

Ad impressions

Impressions end

Posting of ads stops on the specified end date. Ads may continue to get views for 48 more hours after they're posted.

For example, suppose you set the campaign dates from January 1 to January 14. Starting January 14 at 23:59, your ads will no longer be posted in Telegram channels.

Ad campaign duration limits

You can launch an ad campaign for 4 to 15 days. The deferred start date can be no later than 30 days after the campaign is created.

For example, you can't schedule a campaign on May 1 to launch on May 31.

Why these limits?

This limits help maintain a balance between advertisers and Telegram channels. Shorter campaign periods help channels better manage ad slots and ensure that relevant channels are available for your ads.

Ad labeling

Yandex automatically adds a link to the "About advertiser" page to your ad, so you can place the labeling information on that page rather than in the ad.

Special placement rules for different countries

Ads in Telegram channels from the catalog are available to advertisers from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, and Belarus. All channels from the catalog are available to all advertisers regardless of their country. For your ad to get posted, the language of the ad must match the channel language.

To place ads in channels of specific countries, create separate campaigns to account for regional rules.

Different countries have their own regulations for promoting products and services.

Russia

For Telegram channels, we don't accept ads for delicate (personal) topics, magic, military topics, items structurally similar to weapons, including accessories for such items or for actual weapons, ads with distressing and adult content, or social ads.

For pay-per-view ads, the following topics are also prohibited:

  • Remote sale of medication.

  • Infant formula.

  • Fortune telling and divination services.

For more information about goods and services that are prohibited or restricted from promotion in Belarus, see the Regulations for placing advertisements on Yandex. Advertising requirements.

Uzbekistan

For Telegram channels, we don't accept ads for banking services, loans, sensitive (personal) topics, magic, military topics, items structurally similar to weapons, including accessories for such items or for actual weapons.

Kazakhstan

For more information about goods and services that are prohibited or restricted from advertising in Kazakhstan, see Regulations for placing advertisements on Yandex. Advertising requirements.

Turkey

More information about goods and services whose advertising is restricted or prohibited in Türkiye can be found in the document Rules for Placing Ads on Yandex.

Why ads might not be posted

Launching a campaign doesn't guarantee your ad will appear in the channel. Here's why your ads might not appear:

  • Brand Safety was triggered.

  • Channel was disconnected from the network due to suspicious activity.

  • Channel withdrew from the network or changed the placement cost for the selected period.
