How to launch product impressions

Requirements for ads with products for the gallery

  • The link opens a page with a single product or product catalog.

  • The ad displays up-to-date information on product availability and its final price.

  • There are active “Buy” or “Add to сart” buttons, and they correspond to user scenarios. Additional actions such as “Request a call” and “Call a measurer”, after which the user will know the product's final price, are not suitable for the product gallery.

  • The link leads to a site where one can purchase the advertised product. No redirects to other sites are allowed.

  • We recommend adding a photo of the product or product catalog on a white background without additional details.

Create a campaign

Click Add → Campaign.

You can create product ads and catalog pages based on a YML feed, site, or CSV file

Unified performance campaign

  1. In your unified performance campaign under Ad placements, select Search, Yandex Advertising Network and Yandex Maps or Manual setupSearchProduct gallery in search results.

  2. Add a product ad to the group:

  3. Specify a source for the ad: site, CSV file, or YML feed.

    Fill out as many fields in the feed as possible. For an arbitrary YML feed, make sure to specify the url, price, picture, typePrefix, vendor, and model parameters. For a simplified YML feed, specify url, price, picture, and name.

    Make sure to use the param element to transmit product characteristics and parameters:

    • Gender.
    • Colour or Color, can be separated by commas.
    • Size.
    • Material.

    Specify the parameters for all similar products so that ads are more accurately served based on specific user queries.

    One param element describes a specific characteristic, while an offer element can contain any number of param elements.

    Read the feed requirements. See the Examples of feeds by categories section for examples of product feeds in certain categories.

Product campaign

  1. In the settings of the Product campaign, provide a link to your site. Yandex Direct will automatically suggest ads for the products found on it.

  2. Indicate a source for product ads: a site or a feed via a link or from a computer. To always keep the information about product prices and their availability current in your ads, use the product feed.

Once you launch the campaign, the set up product ads will start appearing in the product gallery.

To make sure that your Text & Image ads are selected for the product gallery:

  1. In your unified performance campaign under Ad placements, select Search, Yandex Advertising Network and Yandex Maps or Manual setupSearchProduct gallery in search results.

  2. Add a Text & Image ad to the group.

  3. Upload a product image in your ad settings.

    Use high-quality images on a white background without any text, watermarks, or visual effects. The product should be clearly visible in the picture.

  4. Enter the product price.

    Set the price without a prefix. If you offer a discount on your product, specify the old price: the discount will be shown in the product card.

  5. Check that the added link leads to the product page.

Unified performance campaign

  1. In your unified performance campaign under Ad placements, select Search, Yandex Advertising Network and Yandex Maps or Manual setupSearchProduct gallery in search results.

  2. Add a catalog page ad to the group.

  3. Specify a source for the ad: YML feed, CSV file, or site.

  4. Use filters to determine catalogs to be advertised.

Product campaign

In the Product campaign, it's enough to enable catalog page ads, and they will appear in the product gallery. Use a site or CSV file as your ad source.

  1. In your unified performance campaign under Ad placements, select Search, Yandex Advertising Network and Yandex Maps or Manual setupSearchProduct gallery in search results.

  2. Add a Text & Image ad to the group.

  3. Upload a catalog image in your ad settings.

  4. Check that the added link leads to the product catalog.

Statistics

Statistics for impressions in the product gallery are available in Report Wizard. To analyze the placement, build a report for the cross section Type of placement → Product gallery.

To analyse the impressions, clicks, conversions, and other metrics of different types of ads, use the Ad typе cross section.
