# Promoting a business without a website

You can launch ads via the [Campaign Wizard](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/campaign-master/about.md) even if you don't have a site: describe your business in a few sentences, and Yandex AI will create a [landing page](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/efficiency/landing/about.md) with your product information and contact details and help you with keywords, ad text, and visuals.

Users will see your ad on Yandex Search and on multiple sites across the Yandex Advertising Network.

You can monitor your campaign results in the [statistics](#statistics) sections.

## Create a campaign {#launch-campaign}

Click **Add** → **Campaign**.

![](../_assets/campaign-site.png =550x)

In the **Campaign Wizard**, select **Promote your business without a site**.

![](../_assets/campaign-without-site.png =550x)

##### **Step 1. Create and configure a landing page**

1. Click the site input field and select **Create landing page**.

2. Choose the information source for the landing page: based on a business description or your website.

     {% list tabs %}

     - Based on description

       1. In the **Business name** field, enter the company name or the type of business — for example, "Custom embroidery on denim jackets".
       2. In the **Business description** field, specify what makes your product or service stand out. Highlight your key advantages: discounts, promotions, delivery options, warranty, and other benefits.
       3. Tap **Continue**.

     - Based on site

       1. Specify the landing page URL.
       2. Tap **Continue**.

     {% endlist %}

3. Link your company from Yandex Business to add a request form, customer reviews, and a map block with directions directly to the landing page. Alternatively, you may proceed without adding an organization.

4. Click **Save**.

     Your landing page content starts generating. This can take up to a minute. Once the generation is complete, the landing page content editor opens.

5. [Customize the page content](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/efficiency/landing/create-content.md).

     {% note warning %}

     The landing page won't save if you don't add the contact details.

     {% endnote %}

##### **Step 2. Configure your ad layout**

Based on your business info, up to five title and image versions and up to three text versions will be selected. These ad elements are combined when your ads are served. Make sure all the elements work well together and don't contradict each other.

You can edit any setting or add a custom option:

- Tell your audience about your offer and its features or benefits. Read our recommendations for writing ad texts.

  You can use templates in your ad texts. Set the default keyword and put a hash sign “ # ” before and after it. Step 2, select Manual audience setup, then under related terms, specify the keywords that you want to insert into the template.

- Change images: upload custom images, select suitable ones from the stock library, or choose from AI-generated images. Images created by the neural network are selected by ad category and stored in a stock image database.

Over time, Yandex Direct will automatically choose the most effective combination and start serving it more often. You can check which elements are more effective and which ones need attention in the [campaign statistics](#statistics).

In the preview window next to the settings, you can see how your ads appear in search results and ad networks.

##### **Step 3. Define your audience**

1. Set your [display region](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/efficiency/geotargeting.md).

    <!-- source: en/_includes/efficiency/geotargeting/small-regions.md -->
    In Yandex Direct, you can target small towns or regions with populations starting at 1000 people. To set up targeting for such an area, enter its name or select it from the region tree. This helps you fine‑tune your campaign and reach the right audience.
    <!-- endsource: en/_includes/efficiency/geotargeting/small-regions.md -->

    Ads will be served for extended geotargeting:

    - In search results, based on search queries or the user's regular region.

    - In ad networks, based on the user's frequent location, regardless of their current location.

    You can't disable extended geotargeting in the Campaign Wizard. It's best to revise your related queries so that they account for extended geotargeting. For more information, see [How does geotargeting work?](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/efficiency/geotargeting.md#how-it-works)

1. Select the impression time. [How do I set up time targeting correctly?](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/efficiency/timetargeting.md)

1. Select your audience:

    - Optimal audience: Yandex Direct selects the appropriate settings based on your ad texts and the promoted page.

      ![](../_assets/campaign-site-4.png =550x)

    - Manual setup — Use this option to manually configure:

        - [Targeting parameters](*таргетинг) based on the [user profile](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/products-cpm-campaign/display-ads-settings.md): gender, age, and device type.

        - Under **Interests and search queries**, specify the [interests and habits](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/products-text-image-ads/user-profile.md) (such as websites, companies, or categories) that your audience may search for. You should also add [related terms](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/keywords/keywords.md) — these are keywords that Yandex Direct will use to target interested users.

       Autotargeting impressions are enabled by default, with all [categories](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/impression-criteria/autotargeting.md) selected. If necessary, set exceptions by adding [negative keywords](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/keywords/negative-keywords.md) or changing autotargeting categories.

       ![](../_assets/campaign-site-5.png =550x)

    If you switch from manual to automatic audience selection, it resets everything: all autotargeting categories are enabled, selected interests are removed, impressions are re-enabled for all device types, gender is set to any, and age is set to 18+.

##### **Step 4. Specify the campaign goals and budget**

1. Under **Advertising goal**, select your campaign goals: “Maximum ad clicks” or “Maximum conversions”. Choose your CPA or CPC expenditure logic.

    ![](../_assets/campaign-site-6.png =550x)

1. The **Conversions** section specifies the campaign's goals: clicks on the buttons with contacts specified in Step 2 under **Contacts**. The number of goals depends on the listed contacts. Specify how much you're willing to pay for each of them.

1. Set the weekly budget:

   - Preset: A minimum, optimal, or effective budget. The forecast is based on your competitors' average budgets, taking into account your selected strategy and conversions.

   - Custom: A budget that covers at least ten conversions for the most expensive goal.

   <!-- source: en/_includes/strategies/day-budget.md -->
   {% note info "Updates to how budgets work" %}

   1. On June 22, campaigns with manual bidding and a shared account balance switched from daily to unified weekly budgets. Existing budget values were automatically recalculated as weekly amounts, taking ad schedules into account.
   2. Starting July 6, campaigns with pay-per-click strategies can [carry over](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/strategies/week-budget.md#transfer) a portion of unused budget to the following week.

   {% endnote %}
   <!-- endsource: en/_includes/strategies/day-budget.md -->

   Yandex Direct will spend money within the specified amount. The campaign will run as long as there's money in your account.

   <!-- source: en/_includes/campaign-master/budget-adaptation.md -->
   To avoid missing out on any extra conversions within the target cost when the campaign uses up its budget, set up budget adaptation. Go to **Weekly budget** → **Budget adaptation** and specify the percentage by which your budget can increase the following week. Set this value to at least the cost per conversion specified in your strategy so your campaign can drive extra conversions. We recommend setting a minimum value of 10%.

   Learn more about [budget adaptation](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/strategies/budget-adaptation.md).
   <!-- endsource: en/_includes/campaign-master/budget-adaptation.md -->

1. The strategy will be selected automatically depending on your settings:

    - If you selected “Maximum conversions” at an average weekly CPA and specified the cost per click on the contact buttons, you'll get [maximum conversions](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/strategies/average-cpa.md#average-cpa/crr) for these goals. Your average weekly CPA for each goal will aim to match the specified value. You'll pay **per ad click**. Yandex Direct will select the audience that is most likely to convert.

    - If you selected “Maximum conversions” at a fixed CPA and specified the CPA, you'll get [maximum conversions](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/strategies/average-cpa.md#average-cpa/crr) for all the goals that you added. You'll pay **per conversion**. When multiple conversions are completed, you're charged for each of them. Yandex Direct will select the audience that is most likely to convert.

    - If you selected Maximum conversions with no limit and a single goal, the campaign will bring you [maximum conversions](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/strategies/average-cpa.md#average-cpa/crr) for the selected goal within the specified weekly budget. You'll pay per **ad click**. Yandex Direct will select the audience that is most likely to convert.

    - If you select "Maximum clicks" with an average weekly CPC, you'll pay for click-throughs to the landing page with your contact info, and your average weekly CPC will aim to match the amount you specify.

    - If you choose the "Maximize clicks" option with no limits, Yandex Direct will aim to bring as many interested users as possible to your landing page within your specified budget.

    Placements are selected automatically to ensure optimal achievement of the campaign goals for the specified budget. You can't select placements and add blocked sites in the Campaign Wizard.

To send your campaign to moderation, click **Create campaign**.

To edit the campaign later, tap **Save as draft**.

As an advertising data operator, Yandex assigns each creative a unique identifier (token) when creating campaigns. It uses this token to aggregate all your placement data and send it to the Unified Register of Online Advertising (ERIR). Learn more about [ad labeling](https://yandex.ru/adv/ad-labeling).

## Moderation, payment, and launch {#moderation}

After you create your campaign, our moderators check it for compliance with the [advertising requirements](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/moderation/adv-rules.md).

You'll receive the moderation results at the email that you used to register in Yandex Direct.

Some campaign elements are moderated separately (for example, images). If one or more elements fail moderation, the campaign starts without them. The moderation status and comments are shown on the campaign page. You can delete or edit elements that failed moderation. The edited elements are re-submitted for moderation and added to the campaign if they pass.

Your ads will start running as soon as Yandex [processes your payment](https://yandex.com/support/direct/en/payments/payment-methods.md).

When you launch a campaign, its page shows basic information about its settings. To edit an active campaign, click the parameter that you want to change. You cannot edit some of the parameters, for example, the **Link to your Telegram channel**. Edited parameters have to be moderated again.

## Campaign statistics {#statistics}

Statistics are displayed on the campaign page. Under the settings section, you can find the general campaign statistics, with more detailed statistics on individual parameters shown below.

The general campaign statistics depend on the selected goal:
- CPC campaigns display statistics for impressions, clicks, and costs.
- CPA campaigns display statistics for impressions, clicks, conversions, CPA, and spending.

Charts show statistics for the following parameters:

- Gender and age of the audience that saw your ads.

- Display regions.

- Device type.

- Most popular keywords used to find you.

    As well as your keywords, the **How users find you** section shows statistics for the **Automatic targeting based on your ad** parameter. In real time, Yandex Direct finds users whose search queries and interests match your ad text. This helps you reach more potential customers.

{% note info %}

Sometimes, the parameter value might be zero. For example, the share of one display region is 0%, but there are impression statistics for it. This means that your ad has been shown in the region, but the impression did not result in an engaged click.

{% endnote %}

The autotargeting categories statistics section shows the search queries that triggered your ads.

[*таргетинг]:
    A tool to select part of the available audience that satisfies specific criteria, and serve ads specifically to that part of the audience. Targeting by hours of the day or days of the week is time targeting. Targeting by location is geographic targeting or geotargeting.
