The Campaign Wizard is an easy and fast way to place ads in Yandex Direct. You only need to provide a link to your advertised site page or write a few sentences about your business if you have no site. The Campaign Wizard suggests relevant settings, related terms, texts, and images at each step of creating an ad.

The wizard offers several budget options for launching an ad campaign.

When your campaign is running, the wizard provides clear statistics on clicks and requests, helping you track your budget spend.

You can create and manage campaigns both on desktop and mobile. To go to the navigation menu in the mobile version and tap your avatar in the upper-right corner.

In Yandex Search results, when users search for products and services similar to yours.

On sites partnered with the Yandex Advertising Network. Your ads will be served to users who already showed interest in similar products and services. Clicking an ad leads users directly to your site so that they can easily place an order.

  • Your organization profile will rank higher in search results on Yandex Maps.
  • A special green label is added to your organization profile, and its icon in Yandex Maps changes from blue to green.
  • Leads who are looking for products or services near you will see your organization more often and will be more likely to contact you.

Advertisers who know how much they are willing to pay per ad click

To get more clicks on your ad, when creating an ad campaign, select "Maximum clicks" for your Ad goal. Yandex Direct will automatically optimize your campaign to generate more ad clicks while maintaining the specified CPC.

Advertisers who prioritize user conversions

If you want to maximize conversions (for example, to have more leads contact you via a messenger, get more form submissions, or increase your add-to-cart rate), select "Maximum conversions" for your Ad goal.

Setup

How do I remove the queries I don't need from my new pay-per-conversion campaigns?

On the statistics page, you can disable impressions for ineffective keywords. You can also add keywords with negative keywords when you create or configure campaigns. To do this, specify them in the field for adding related terms.

How do I add UTM tags for sitelinks?

At the moment, UTM tags have to be entered by hand.

Are there any rules for entering related terms?

There are no rules for related terms. Related terms are the topics that Yandex Direct uses to set up ads in search results and in the Yandex Advertising Network.

Can I edit the age category in more detail?

No, there are no advanced age settings. Age settings are available for other campaign types in Yandex Direct.

Can I split impressions between ad platforms in a campaign created for the Yandex Advertising Network and search results?

This option is not supported. Algorithms select the most effective ad placement for you. A campaign is created both for search results and the Yandex Advertising Network.

I've created a campaign using the Campaign Wizard and added a link to my site, but no images have appeared

After you specify a link to your site, an image should automatically be added to the ad. Sometimes, the Campaign Wizard fails to automatically upload images from sites. We are constantly improving our algorithms for image search and image upload to minimize such situations. If you encounter this issue, we recommend that you upload images from your computer.

How do I add contact information?

If you registered your organization with Yandex Business and specified the advertised site domain, the Campaign Wizard will automatically suggest adding this information to the ad.

How do I delete a campaign?

Note

If a campaign was already launched, you can't delete it, only archive it.

To delete an ad campaign that was saved as a draft, click to the left of the campaign and choose Delete.

To archive an active ad campaign, click to the left of it and choose Archive.

Monitoring performance

Can an ad position be guaranteed?

Guaranteed placement on a specific position is impossible even with a manual strategy. Bids compete for the target traffic regardless of the placement. Ads are selected individually for every placement section on the page that appears in response to a user's search query. They're ranked based by their the bid, quality coefficient, and CTR forecast for that specific impression. The ad with the best combination of indicators ends up in the placement section. Can I find out my CPC?

The CPC isn't fixed in Yandex Direct. It's determined as a result of auctions between advertisers. For a calculation example, see VCG auction. The CPC is constantly changing, so you can't see it anywhere in Yandex Direct.

The Campaign Wizard will automatically select the most optimal bids within the weekly budget. If you set up pay-per-click, you will pay only for them.

My campaign can't find a tag or its goals

Make sure that:

  • The tag is installed on the advertised page.

  • You have access to viewing statistics.

  • You had at least one unique user on the site over the past week.

What does the click forecast mean?

The click forecast depends on the audience that you select in the campaign settings. Yandex Direct calculates it based on the historical data (for example, how often users click ads with certain related terms, on average).

The actual clicks may differ from the forecast.

What does the conversion forecast mean?

The conversion forecast depends on the CPA you set and the audience you select in the campaign settings.

We recommend that you set the CPA according to Yandex Direct suggestions or your existing statistics. If your CPA is too low, Yandex Direct may fail to find users matching the campaign settings so your ad will attract fewer customers.
