Key indicators
Key indicators used to evaluate data in the Statistics section:
Competitors
-
A company that conducts similar business activities and belongs to the same or a related business category as your company.
Yandex Business searches for your competitors within a one-kilometer radius from your company. If little data is available, the radius automatically expands to five kilometers.
Direct traffic
-
Clicks on your company profile made by users who found it by the name, location, address and other attributes.
For example, the user searched for [orlyonok mayakovskaya cinema], found the Orlyonok cinema near Mayakovskaya metro station, and clicked the company's profile.
Discovery traffic
-
Clicks on the company profile after a search for other companies, products, and services. For example:
- From search results by product, service, or business category.
- From the "Similar places" section.
- From the recommendations.
Report period
Select the period to show data for: one week, one month, or three months. You can specify any period. The period will apply to all graphs.
You can change the grouping to day, week, or month. Grouping by day can only be set for a period of less than 1000 days.
Reports and graphs
Summary statistics
-
The Summary data section shows total events for the selected period and the percentage of changes compared to the previous period of the same duration. For example, if you selected Month (22.01.2023–22.02.2023), the percentage of changes will be calculated relative to the previous month (22.12.2022–22.01.2023).
- Traffic to the company profile: Summary for all target events across all Yandex services.
- Routes built: The number of clicks on the Build route button.
- Clicks on the Call button: The number of clicks on the Call button.
- Traffic to site: The number of clicks on the link with the site name in the company profile on Yandex.
Automatic tag
To track target actions, a special Yandex Metrica tag is automatically created for the business. Yandex services use it to pass information about user interactions with your business to Yandex Metrica.
The tag is managed by Yandex algorithms. They set it up to ensure accurate statistics collection based on the specified service parameters.
Warning
Changing the owner or making edits to the tag is prohibited.
Yandex Metrica offers the following preset conversion actions:
- Clicked call.
- Get directions.
- Call to action.
- Subscription.
- Like.
- View organization.
If businesses are combined into a chain, one tag is automatically created for the entire chain, and statistics are collected for all branches. You can see statistics for your branch, but they only include the data from Yandex Maps and Yandex Search.

- Where users come from and the amount and percent change compared to the previous period of the same duration.
Actions in the company profile
- User actions in your company profile. For more information, see Yandex Metrica Help.

-
How many times users from Yandex Maps, Yandex Search, and Yandex Navigator clicked or opened your branch profile: direct traffic and discovery traffic on Yandex Maps.
Yandex Search only takes into account impressions that led to clicks within the company profile: on reviews, photos, phone number, directions, and so on. User clicks on the link in search results don't count.
Actions in the company profile
- User actions in your Yandex Maps and Yandex Search company profile. You can't set additional actions.
Export statistics to Excel

The graph data will be exported with the same grouping you set for viewing statistics. For example, if the data in the graph is grouped by month, it will be exported to Excel by month.

FAQ
How do I grant or revoke access to the automatic tag?
Access permissions to the Yandex Metrica tag work the same way as access permissions to the Yandex Business company profile. If you are a business owner, you can manage other users’ access rights:
- Open the company profile in Yandex Business.
- Go to Access.
You can:
- Assign a new owner.
- Add or remove a representative.
After this, the profile will automatically appear or disappear from the user’s account. The same will happen to Yandex Metrica tag access permissions.
Alert
It may take up to three days to update the Yandex Metrica data.
For more information, see User roles.
How do I remove the automatic tag?
The company’s personal tag can't be removed, but owners and representatives can hide it from their personal account:
- Go to Tags in Yandex Metrica.
- Find the Tag →
→ Unsubscribe.
What do I do if I accidentally unsubscribed from the automatic tag?
To restore access to the tag, contact support.
How do I edit tag settings?
The Yandex Business company profile uses an automatically issued tag.
It collects statistics taking into account service features: records clicks and actions with the profile. You can't link your own tag or change settings — the parameters are preset.
