We have already vacationed in Costa Adeje 4 times. We stay with the same apartment owner in the Parque Royale 1 apartment complex. The ocean is 5-7 minutes away, there are a lot of shops. You can take a taxi or a rented car a little further to the Hypermarket "Hiperdino", "Mercadona" - however, everything is quite close and convenient. In Santa Cruz (about 60 km from Costa Adeje), there is a hypermarket "Meridiano" - a huge store where you can buy both groceries and decent clothes for cheap. Nearby there is also a 6-storey El Corte store - a real town designed for any purse. A huge clothing market is open on Sundays. In general, shopping lovers will be very interested.
