Huge queues are forming, and people are smoking from all sides. Checkpoint workers treat people like cattle, shout, and use their hands to disperse the queue. There is no organized passage system. We were walking in a group of 3 people, as a result we were separated, 2 of them were allowed in, one was missing. Long waiting time. I'll never cross the border like that again. Stoned, deafened by the screams of customs officers, not in the mood.

They were groundlessly denied entry to Georgia at the border from Turkey. Although we have shown the availability of a reservation to the hotel. There are no clear explanations for the reason for the refusal.

The terrible checkpoint was in April 2024, I went with a friend from Batumi to Turkey to take a walk and arrange a mini shopping trip. But it wasn't a pleasant moment. I passed the Georgian and Turkish borders quickly. But when we went for a walk and wanted to return home, I was denied entry to Georgia by Turkey, and they often have such a refusal to Russians there. That's after talking to people on the Turkish side. I didn't want to let you in and listen to that you had bus tickets back from Batumi and that your belongings and documents were Russian at the hotel, they said let your friends bring your things and you can stay on the Turkish side. Of course, a friend brought a bag with things and I had to go to Istanbul to fly by plane. On the Turkish side, I met a woman who has been living in Turkey for 15 years, as she said, at the border and Russians are often not allowed to do this. So that's where the situation was.
