This Privolnoye - Ahkerpi checkpoint is open exclusively to citizens of Armenia and Georgia. To get there, you have to drive through the border checkpoint, then 11km of road for an SUV and you will be there. There are two monasteries nearby - Khorakert and Huchapi - if you happen to visit these parts, be sure to take a look. On the plus side, you'll almost certainly be alone :)
