No idea why this place was recognized by some media as one of the best restaurants in Samarkand. Service was extremely slow. There was only one waiter occasionally serving the outdoor table. The restaurant missed our desert order and we had to wait another 30 min after reordering, and another 20 mins for settling the bill. For the food, manti was good but the fusion dishes we ordered were over seasoned. This place even charged 15% service charge, which was totally unacceptable considering what we got. What a pity for such a nice environment.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of friends — and we didn't regret it for a minute! The atmosphere is cozy, the interior is tasteful, it's nice to be inside. The service is top-notch: the waiters are polite, attentive, everything is fast and without unnecessary waiting. The food is simply amazing! The dishes are fresh, beautifully served and very tasty. We will definitely come back here again and will be happy to recommend it to our friends!🥰

I was looking forward to dining at Platan based on its reputation, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. While I understand restaurants get busy, waiting over 30 minutes just to receive the bill is unacceptable and put a damper on the entire experience. The food was decent, but not memorable enough to justify the high prices. Overall, I found it to be overpriced and overrated. Samarkand has plenty of excellent restaurants that offer better food, better service, and a much better overall experience. I wouldn't return or recommend it based on my visit.
