The huge stadium was built for the World Cup in a previously completely undeveloped area, as well as the entire surrounding area. It's deserted here now. There are only memories of the past holidays. But it was here that the famous championship final, the most intense match between France and Argentina, took place. The grand stadium with 80,000 seats was designed by Norman Foster's British architectural firm Foster + Partners. The shape and facade repeat the decorative motifs on bowls, vessels and other art objects during the heyday of civilization here. After the World Cup, the stadium was to be transformed into a public space with schools, shops, cafes, sports and medical facilities. But the plans have changed. So far, the stadium is safe and sound, but it misses events. A big tournament under the auspices of FIFA will be held here in December this year.
