We decided to take a walk through the narrow streets of the old city first with an unusual guide (Nijad Abi) - it was not boring, but we remember this historical excursion with a smile. He caught us near the museum of the little book and spent about 2 hours with us with interesting stories, performances, went wherever possible (to visit the hammam and mosque) and, importantly, remembered the interesting moments of the story!

The old town in Baku is amazing! This is a separate world with fortress walls, flowers, the smell of coffee, towers of past centuries, cozy cafes and carpets everywhere. These are caravanserais, reminiscent of the Great Silk Road, southern doorways, pomegranate wine, tea and cats everywhere - they are also residents and a landmark of Icherisheher. Workshops, benches, the Khan's palace, the Maiden Tower, green gardens with bubbling fountains, stone streets and somewhere in the distance - a new city, bold and burning (at night) Flame towers. All the architecture here is made of sandstone, which has a light beige shade, but at the same time the city is colorful, bright, saturated with the sun. And many Soviet films were shot here: "The Diamond Hand", "Tehran", "Amphibian Man". And finding these places is a special pleasure and a pleasant memory from the past.
