There are 224 columns, of which 212 have been preserved to this day. They are made up of two marble parts connected by a stone ring. Exhibitions, concerts, fashion shows and weddings are often held in this cistern.

The Filoxene tank I visited these cisterns on April 16, 2026. The entrance ticket cost 600 lire. A ticket to the Basilica Cistern cost 1950 lire. I cannot recommend visiting the Filoxene cistern. The columns and the vault remained original, and the floor is already modern. There are some sort of tents around the perimeter of the cisterns for trade or official needs. It looks like the room is used for entertainment events.
