A very interesting place to visit. The scale of the sculpture is impressive! It is spread out in such a way that it can be seen from tens of kilometers away, even from neighboring islands! We arrived with our family by car. There was a traffic controller at the entrance and showed me where to go. Large free parking, there was a place. It takes about five to seven minutes to walk from the parking lot to the central staircase. There is a table in front of the entrance, and employees offer long shawls to women whose clothes do not comply with the rules of initiation for money. In my opinion, short shorts and open shoulders should be covered. The cost of the handkerchief is 200 baht. They offer it very unobtrusively, so some people whim without following these rules. On the approach to the central staircase, on the left side there are very beautiful benches made of tree roots. We were between 12 and 13 o'clock, and there were a lot of people. It's difficult to take a picture without someone else getting into the frame)) There are magnificent views from the top! Please note that according to the rules, after climbing the central staircase, they go down the other one so as not to turn their backs to the Buddha. But, I repeat, the attitude towards tourists is very loyal and with the understanding that many people do not know these rules, and there are not signs everywhere. A monkey was walking on the landing in front of the central staircase and begging for water and food from tourists. The total time of the walk, taking into account the inspection of all locations, took just over an hour. I recommend a place to visit

It is better to arrive in the morning, when there is no heat and there are still a few tourists. We were there at about 09:30. Look for monkeys to the left of the Buddha. There's a whole family living there. Friendly, non-aggressive, calm. You should not take off your shoes when climbing. We traveled from Kata by tuk tuk for 800 baht. We agreed on the necessary stops on the spot. There is a Tiger Park along the way (worth a visit) and elephants (we did not stop there, we are not fans of such sights). Plus we stopped at Karon Beach. The taxi driver was waiting everywhere.

You definitely need to visit!!! It has been open since March 2026 after restoration. Make a wish from a monk , and in general , get emotions ) do not forget to wear an outfit below the knees and covered shoulders . Or, at the entrance, they sell handkerchiefs for 200 baht.
