The Agra Fort Railway Station is about 200 km from Delhi and is easily accessible by train. However, no one will tell you how long it will take to overcome these 200 km. No train schedule or timetable means anything on the railways of India - maybe the train will cover this distance in 3 hours, or maybe in 5 and a half, as in my case (with a planned 4 hours and 50 minutes): it all depends on the case and does not rely on the actual timetable indicated by you. in the ticket. The station itself has a classic Indian setting: puddles and heaps of appropriately scented tracks (since there are no toilets here, and regular toilets are also not practiced), running rats (including on platforms), ubiquitous Indian squirrels (similar to chipmunks), stray dogs, dozens/hundreds of Indians waiting (right on platforms, benches, grass, between which rats can also run) for their trains, which are late for an unknown time, queues of passengers from passing trains to the counters selling drinking water (tourists are strongly advised to buy only bottled water), plus the heat and humidity. Put it all together and you will understand the atmosphere of this train station!
