The monument to Leif Eriksson is located right in front of the Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral and perfectly complements this place. The monument looks very majestic, and thanks to its location, beautiful photos with the cathedral in the background are obtained. It is interesting to know that Leif Eriksson is considered one of the first Europeans to reach the shores of North America long before Columbus. Even if you are not interested in history, it is worth stopping here for a while to view the monument and enjoy the atmosphere of the square.
