This is a great place with great architecture, but it is crowded not only with people, but also with shops, cafes, restaurants, shops, and numerous umbrellas at the cafe block the view of the wonderful buildings. All this really spoils the overall impression, even late at night. There is a cafe called Casa Mazanti, which is very crowded in the evenings and a popular place. We couldn't find any empty tables on the street and had to go to the hall, but on the ground floor it was very free - which is understandable - the view of the square from here is very limited. As for the cuisine, lasagna is normal, but not fantastic. The Piazza del Erbe salad - despite its loud name and unusual composition - did not cause delight. Sicilian beer is quite pleasant, spritz is common, just like everywhere else. In general, the place is pleasant, although it does not cause any special impressions. But the location on the square fully justifies a check of 60 euros for two.
