Terms of Use of Yandex Database Service
This document constitutes the Terms of Use of Yandex Database Service (the "Service") and is an integral part of Yandex.Cloud Customer Agreement (“Agreement”) and Service Terms set forth at https://yandex.com/legal/cloud_service_terms. Capitalized terms used herein but not defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in Agreement and Linked Documents.
1. Functional Features of the Service
1.1. The Service enables the Customer to remotely create, operate, manage and scale databases on the Platform cloud-based resources using the Yandex Database DBMS.
1.2. Functionalities of the Service:
1.2.1. set-up, modification and deletion of databases with the required performance parameters;
1.2.2. scaling of the allocated virtual computational power and virtual disk space for databases;
1.2.3. monitoring of consumed resources and performance indicators, requesting to databases;
1.2.4. set-up, modification and deletion of tables;
1.2.5. Other functionalities of the Service that Yandex, at its discretion, makes available to the Customer. The list of functionalities is available to the Customer on the Site and/or in the Management Console.
1.3. Service Level is determined for the Service in accordance with SLA.
2. Pricing
2.1. The use of the Service is chargeable.
2.2. Its cost is determined according to the rates and billing units specified on the Site. Yandex may change the rates as provided by the Agreement.
2.3. The cost of the Service depends on the storage capacity (disk space), DB Host parameters, the number of operations performed, and the amount of computing resources utilized.
2.4. As part of the Service, the volume of Outgoing Traffic, the cost of backup, and other additional benefits used by the Customer and related to the use of the Service are subject to additional charge.
2.5. Yandex may from time to time provide the Customer with additional functionalities of the Service for an additional fee.
3. Service Use Restrictions
3.1. The service contains a number of restrictions, which are listed on the Website.
Definitions:
Yandex Database DBMS means Yandex Database distributed management system.
DB Host shall mean a virtual machine or computation capacities outside the Platform created specifically for deploying the Yandex Database DBMS.
