Yandex Maps Online Stores

Internet, August 25, 2009. Yandex.Market launches store locator to find offline locations of online stores. Now, customers can see right on the map where they can pick up their purchase.

Yandex.Market allows to choose the right product and also suggests the most convenient place to collect the order, if one wants to save on delivery, or to examine the product before buying it. For example, having ordered a photo camera, you can pick it up or see how good it is right here. Using the “sort by price” feature, customers can also find the best place to make their purchase.

“Currently, Yandex.Market has more than 3,000 online stores. We have information about offline locations for about 40% of them. People in about a hundred cities in Russia and Ukraine will be able to see these stores on the map,” says Yury Alekhin, project manager. “Shoppers benefit from getting relevant information and stores receive yet another way to promote their services.”
