Yandex and ICQ

Internet, August 5, 2009. Yandex and ICQ announce their co-branded client. Now, those who are used to communicating via ICQ will also have the Yandex search and services at hand.

Starting ICQ, users can find all the latest news. Yandex will tell them about the weather, what’s new in blogs and what’s going on in the world. And if a user talking to a friend needs an answer to some question, Yandex, the leading search engine, will provide it. Using the Yandex-ICQ search toolbar, chatters can find out what film is on, who discovered electricity, where in the world is Carmen Sandiego, right as they are chatting.

ICQ 6.5 featuring Yandex is available for download at icq.yandex.ru.
