Yandex.Adresa Accepts Info Updates from Users and Clients

Internet, April 13, 2006. Starting today, Yandex.Adresa accepts requests to add or amend information about companies, organizations, and institutions in its business directory. Requests are accepted from all users. Request processing and updates are free of charge. In addition, there is a paid service offered to participating companies: an option of priority placement in the directory.

Requests can be submitted through an online form. All requests are reviewed by the support service within three working days. The updated information is published both at Yandex.Adresa pages and at YellowPages.ru. Eniro Rus-M Yellow Pages Moscow, the partner of Yandex.Adresa service, provides support and information updates.

“The directory of Yandex.Adresa contains descriptions of hundreds of thousands companies and organizations,” says Andrey Strelkov, head of the service. “We are certain that for their staff, there is no need to explain the importance of providing up-to-date contact information. Together, we can make Yandex.Adresa a more efficient service both for those who search and for those who wish to be found.”

Over the several month of operation of Yandex.Adresa, the service proved itself an effective advertising platform. For example, the click through rate of Yandex.Direct ads placed at the pages of Yandex.Adresa is some three times higher than average in the system. The new paid service – priority placement in the directory provides a new online promotion opportunity to advertisers, including those who do not have a website yet.

Contact information for each organization in the directory includes the exact name, postal address, phone number, and website address. For a number of cities, company location is also presented as a point on the map.
