Site reviews

In the Yandex Start app, any user can submit a review about a site they visited. Share your opinion to help other users.

View reviews

To see reviews, tap → to the right of the SmartBox. The total number of site reviews appears beside the icon. The green part of the color bar on the icon indicates the number of positive reviews, while the red part indicates the number of negative reviews.

To see all reviews, scroll down the list. You can also sort reviews by relevance, popularity, and date, and display positive or negative reviews first.

Actions with reviews

Submit a review
  1. To the right of the SmartBox, tap .
  2. Tap the review icon.
  3. Leave a rating by tapping the number of stars.
  4. Tap Leave review.
  5. Share your experience with the site. Pay attention to recommendations and rules for publishing reviews.
  6. Tap Send feedback.
Edit a review
  1. Open the site.
  2. To the right of the SmartBox, tap .
  3. Tap the review icon. Your review will be the first in the list.
  4. Tap → Edit. A page with all your reviews will open. The review will be highlighted in yellow.
  5. Tap Edit in the card with the review you want to edit.
  6. Make edits.
  7. Tap Save review.
Delete a review
  1. Open the site.
  2. To the right of the SmartBox, tap .
  3. Tap the review icon. Your review will be the first in the list.
  4. Tap → Edit. A page with all your reviews will open. The review will be highlighted in yellow.
  5. Tap Delete in the card with the review you want to delete.
  6. Confirm the deletion.
Rate a review
  1. To the right of the SmartBox, tap .
  2. Tap the review icon.
  3. Tap or under the review.
Report a review

If you notice a review that violates the rules, for example if it contains adult content or insults, write to us.

Disable reviews in the app

  1. Go to  (profile picture) → App settings.

  2. Disable the Display review counter on-page option.

Managing data about your reviews

All the reviews you leave are stored on Yandex servers. We take the protection of this data seriously: our storage facilities comply with SOC 2, which is one of the most rigorous international security standards.

You can manage your personal data on the Manage data page.

  1. Go to Your data on Yandex and make sure that you're logged in with the correct Yandex ID.
  2. Click Download data.
  3. Tap Create archive.

When the archive is ready, Yandex notifies you by email that you can download it. If you don't have a Yandex email, you have to check the archive loading status on the page.

Note

The archive is password-protected. To learn how to get a password and open the archive, go to Yandex ID Help.

  1. Go to Your data on Yandex and make sure that you're logged in with the correct Yandex ID.

  2. In the Delete data section, click the service name. You'll see a list of all data types that Yandex stores for this service.

    Note

    If the service you need isn't there, click Other services at the bottom of the list.

  3. Select the line with the data type.

  4. Click Uninstall in the window that opens. If you change your mind about deleting data, tap Cancel.

After deletion, almost all data immediately become unavailable. Yandex will store some types of data for a period of time as is required by law.
