Site reviews

In Yandex app, any user can review a website they visited. Share your opinion to help others make a choice.

View site reviews

  1. Open a site
  2. On the right in the SmartBox, tap .

The review icon is below the website name. It shows the total number of reviews on the current site, as well as the ratio of positive and negative ratings. To read the reviews, tap the icon.

To see all the reviews, scroll down. You can also sort reviews by relevance, popularity, and recency and display positive or negative reviews first.

Actions with reviews

Leave a review
  1. On the right in the SmartBox, tap .
  2. Tap the review icon under the website name.
  3. Leave a rating by tapping a certain number of stars.
  4. Tap Write a review.
  5. Write your impressions of the site. Please take into account the review recommendations and rules.
  6. Tap Send feedback.
Edit a review
  1. Open a website.
  2. On the right in the SmartBox, tap .
  3. Tap the review icon under the website name. Your feedback is first on the list.
  4. Tap  → Edit. A page with all your feedback opens. The review will be highlighted in yellow.
  5. In the card you need, tap → Edit review.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Tap Save review.
Delete your review
  1. Open a website.
  2. On the right in the SmartBox, tap .
  3. Tap the review icon under the website name. Your feedback is first on the list.
  4. Tap  → Edit. A page with all your feedback opens. The review will be highlighted in yellow.
  5. In the card you need, tap  → Delete review.
  6. Confirm deletion.
Rate a review
  1. On the right in the SmartBox, tap .
  2. Tap the review icon under the website name.
  3. Tap or under the review.
Report a review

If you notice a rule violation in some review, for example, adult content or insults, contact us.

Disable in-app reviews

  1. On the home screen, tap  (profile picture) → App settings.

    1. Go to the Interface and tools section.

    2. Disable the Reviews in the site menu option.

Manage data about your reviews

All reviews you leave are saved on Yandex servers. We store this data with utmost care and make sure it's well-protected. Our repositories comply with SOC 2, which is one of the most reliable international standards for managing user data.

You can manage your personal data under Your data on Yandex.

  1. Go to Your data on Yandex and make sure that you're logged in with the correct Yandex ID.
  2. Click Download data.
  3. Tap Create archive.

When the archive is ready, Yandex notifies you by email that you can download it. If you don't have a Yandex email, you have to check the archive loading status on the page.

Note

The archive is password-protected. To learn how to get a password and open the archive, go to Yandex ID Help.

  1. Go to Your data on Yandex and make sure that you're logged in with the correct Yandex ID.

  2. In the Delete data section, click the service name. You'll see a list of all data types that Yandex stores for this service.

    Note

    If the service you need isn't there, click Other services at the bottom of the list.

  3. Select the line with the data type.

  4. Click Uninstall in the window that opens. If you change your mind about deleting data, tap Cancel.

After deletion, almost all data immediately become unavailable. Yandex will store some types of data for a period of time as is required by law.
