On the Yandex Telemost home screen, you can start a meeting, schedule a meeting, or join a meeting or live stream.
To open the settings, click in the lower-right corner.
Name and photo
If you're logged in to Yandex Telemost with your Yandex account, you can set your name and photo. That way everyone in the meeting will know who you are.
Alert
Your name will also be used in comments and reviews on Yandex, and the photo will appear in all Yandex services.
You can change your name and photo:
Before or after the meeting
Log in to Yandex Telemost if you haven't yet.
Open the settings by clicking in the lower-right corner.
On the Account tab, click Change name and photo.
During the meeting
At the bottom, click → Settings.
On the Account tab, click Change name and photo.
Note
If you're not logged in, Yandex Telemost will prompt you to enter your name manually every time you join a meeting, and a photo is randomly selected from a standard set of images.
Selecting audio and video devices
Yandex Telemost selects the microphone, audio output device, and camera automatically. However, you can select devices manually:
Open the settings by clicking in the lower-right corner.
Go to the Sound or Camera tab and select the devices to use.
The video from the camera is mirrored for you. However, your conversation partners see you as usual, and if you show them text, they won't have any trouble reading it.
Warning
Camera and sound settings are not available in Mozilla Firefox.
Microphone and camera access
When you create or join a meeting for the first time, the browser requests access to your microphone and camera. You can allow access immediately in the notification or later in your browser settings. To find out how to do this, see the instructions for your browser.
Virtual background is not available in Yandex Telemost for browser. To enable a virtual background, use Yandex Telemost for desktop.
