Additional addresses

Mailbox aliases with an alternative username are added manually by the admin, and aliases with an alternative domain appear automatically when you link an alias domain. If your organization's administrator has set up email aliases and allowed switching between addresses, you can use different addresses to send emails.

You can assign an unlimited number of additional usernames to a single mailbox on the domain. For example, you can assign the advertising@ alias to the advertising manager whose main address is login@example.com. After that, all emails sent to advertising@example.com will be delivered to login@example.com. To add an email alias with an alternative username, contact your administrator.

For example, your organization's primary domain is example.com and it has linked the alias domain example.net. Employees with accounts like login@example.com get an additional email address on the alias domain login@example.net.
