Federations

A federation is several companies connected together. With federations, employees from different companies can work together using Yandex 360 services. They can schedule meetings, send messages, make calls, and quickly find each other in Yandex Mail, Messenger, and Calendar contacts.

Administrators or federation managers can add companies to federations and delete them from there.

Federating two companies

To join companies in a federation, one should send a request, and the other should accept it. Follow these steps:

1. Open the company account and select Federations.

2. Click Add.

3. Specify the ID of the company you want to add to the federation.

   How to find the organization's ID

   To get the ID of another company, ask its administrator: they can look it up under the company name under General settings→ Company profile.

   

4. Click Send request. The company will be added once its administrator accepts the request under Federation.

Federating three or more companies

To create a federation from three or more companies, each of them should add the others.

For example, you have three companies on your account: A, B, and C. To enable employees from all three companies to view each other's contacts, federate the companies:

1. Switch to company A and send requests to B and C.

2. Switch to company B, accept the request from A, and then send the request to C.

3. Switch to company C and accept requests from A and B.

What employees can do in a federation

When you add a company to the federation, employees will be able to see each other's contacts and:

In Yandex Mail

• Add recipients from another company using the typing suggestions.
• Message another company's employees from the contact list.
• Find contacts from another company by email search.

In Yandex Calendar

• Invite employees from another company to meetings.
• Book meeting rooms of another company.

In Yandex Messenger

• Join private and group chats in the federation workspace.
• Find each other in search.
• Share files.
• Call each other.

Removing a company from the federation

Either company can disconnect from another — no approval from the other is needed. Employees will no longer see each other among contacts in Yandex Mail, Messenger, and Calendar. Meetings scheduled prior to this action won't disappear.

1. Open the company account and select Federations.

2. Select the company you want to remove from the federation and click at the end of the row.

3. Confirm deletion.

An employee with the rights to manage a specific group of settings in Yandex 360 for Business. For example, payment and service plan managers have access to the "Payment and service plan" section, and message filters managers have access to the "Message filtering" section.
