Working with reviews

Yandex users can leave reviews about websites, organizations, and doctors. Users post site reviews on their public pages. Reviews about organizations and doctors are posted in Yandex services (Yandex Maps, search results, and so on) and on partner sites. Where you can view and respond to reviews

Reviews are available on the Site information page and on the Reviews page in Yandex Webmaster.

Report a review

Reviews and responses are moderated within a few days. However, they must meet the requirements (for organization reviews, website reviews, or responses).

Yandex Webmaster regularly checks for new reviews. To stay informed about site reviews, configure notifications.

Note

Yandex Webmaster monitors data credibility. That's why only the site owner can respond to a review. To respond to a review, select the main site address in Yandex Webmaster.

Working with reviews on the “Site information” page

All visitors can see the reviews on the Site information page. To respond to a review, you need to log in to Yandex.

You can open the “Site information” page from the search results.

Working with reviews on the “Reviews” page in Yandex Webmaster

On the Reviews page, you can view, respond to, and report a review. If you respond to a review in Yandex Webmaster, the user will see your response as Official.

To view and respond to site reviews:

  1. Make sure that you have access in Yandex Webmaster.
  2. On the Reviews page, open the Site reviews tab.

To start displaying reviews about the organization:

  1. Add your organization to Yandex Business.

When doing so, specify your company’s website in the Website or social media field.

  1. Add this site to Yandex Webmaster.

To view reviews and respond to them:

  1. Make sure that you have access in Yandex Webmaster and access to the organization in Yandex Business.

  2. On the Reviews page, open the OrganizationOrganization tab.

What the site owner has to do to start handling reviews

Confirm the management rights for the organization in Yandex Business or ask the business owner to add you to the list of representatives. You will see the reviews in Yandex Webmaster within 24 hours after verification is complete.

To start displaying reviews about doctors:

  1. Add your organization to Yandex Business.

    When doing so, specify your company’s website in the Website or social media field.

  2. Add this site to Yandex Webmaster.

To view reviews and respond to them:

  1. Make sure that you have access in Yandex Webmaster and access to the organization in Yandex Business.

  2. On the Reviews page, open the OrganizationDoctors tab.

How can the site owner start to work with reviews

Confirm the management rights for the organization in Yandex Business or ask the business owner to add you to the list of representatives. You will see the reviews in Yandex Webmaster within 24 hours after verification is complete.

If you believe a review is not related to your site or organization or does not meet the requirements (for organization reviews or), you can report it. Your message will be sent to the support service.

The claim is processed within five days. If your complaint is validated, the review will stop being displayed.

If a review follows the guidelines but you still disagree with its content, we recommend that you respond to the review and communicate with the user.

Why a review or response is not displayed

A review may stop displaying if:

  • The user deleted the review on their public page.
  • The review was removed because it didn't comply with the guidelines.
  • The user deleted the review from the card.
  • The partner stopped sending reviews.
  • The review was removed because it didn't comply with the guidelines.

A response to a review may not be displayed if it hasn’t passed moderation and does not meet the requirements.

If a response to an organization review hasn’t passed moderation, check the reason in the Yandex Business personal account and edit the response. Only the organization’s owner can see the reason.

If a response to a site review hasn’t passed moderation, contact customer support.

How to make reviews visible to everyone

Site reviews are displayed on the open Site information page. You can open it from the site snippet in the search results. Organization and doctor reviews are displayed in Yandex Maps and in Yandex Search results.

You can't publish the reviews on your site.

Why aren't reviews displayed in Yandex Webmaster?

There are probably no reviews for your organization or site yet, or they are no longer displayed for several reasons.

Make sure that:

  • The website is added to Yandex Webmaster and Yandex Business in the same way (with or without the "www" prefix, and with the HTTPS or HTTP protocol).
  • The main website page is added to Yandex Business without UTM tags.
  • The website rights in Yandex Webmaster and in the Yandex Business card are confirmed for the same username.

If the business has reviews, they will appear in Yandex Webmaster within a week after you correct the mistakes.
