Create a mail-out

Go to Send and click Create mail-out on the left panel. Configure the new mail-out:

  1. Add your email:

Step 1. Select a recipient list

Important. To avoid issues with your recipient list, see Recommendations for creating mail-outs.
  1. On the mail-out creation page, click Select list under Recipients. Choose an existing recipient list or add a new one.
  2. Click Next.

Step 2. Specify the email subject and sender address

  1. On the Subject and address page, fill in the Email subject field.
  2. In the Sender's name field, enter your name or the company name (it will appear in the email).
  3. Under Send from this address, specify the sender email address. If your company has several domains, select the one you need. The domain should be already verified and configured. For more information about adding and configuring domains, see the Yandex 360 for Business help article Connect a domain.
  4. If you need to, check the Receive replies at another address box. Select an address and a domain.
  5. Click Next.

Step 3. Create an email

You can customize the text and appearance of your email in the email Builder or upload an HTML file or ZIP archive. The maximum file size is 5 MB for HTML format and 25 MB for ZIP format.

If you need to insert the recipients' personal details into the email body, use the headings from the mail-out recipient list as variables.

How to add variables in the email body
Variables in the email body are enclosed in double curly braces. Custom values from the recipient list file will be shown in the email instead of the variables. Each mail-out recipient will see their own personal details. For example, a recipient greeted with Hello, {{name}}! will see their name instead of the {{name}} variable.
Attention. Variable values are inserted automatically in exactly the same form specified in the table of the recipients' personal details (number and grammatical case do not change).

You can add your email in one of the following ways:

  1. On the Email contents page, click Create in the online Builder.
  2. Put together the email in the Builder:
    • Clear the layout. In the upper-left corner of the Builder, click Clear message to remove demo boxes from the layout.
    • Configure the email grid (for example, add columns for text or space for images). Select the Layout tab on the left panel and drag boxes with the right number of cells to the layout.
    • Add components. On the Simple tab on the left panel, select email components (text fields, images, or buttons) and drag them to the grid cells.
    • Set basic properties for the component (for example, the link address or button size). Select a component in the layout and open the Settings tab on the right panel.
    • Customize the component appearance. Select a component in the layout, open the Styles tab on the right panel, and set parameters. For example: horizontal and vertical alignment, text size and font, background, and so on.
Important. Be sure to add the Unsubscribe link component to your template. According to the service terms, you can't send a mail-out without an unsubscribe link.
  3. Click Next. A preview of your email will appear on the Email contents page.
  4. Click Next.

Step 4. Send your message

  • To check what your message will look like for the recipients, send a test email. To do that, click Test email and enter recipient addresses separated by commas. If variables are used in the email body, specify their values in the fields below. When you confirm sending a test mail-out, all recipients will receive the same email with the specified variable values.

The email header will say that it's a test mail-out.

  • To send your email to all recipients from a CSV, XLSX, or XLS file, click Send mail-out.

The sending process may take several minutes. You can see the sending status in the list of mail-outs.

Note. If the mail-out creation is interrupted for some reason, the mail-out will be saved as a draft.
