Some operation occurred involving my phone number

Someone tried to change or delete the phone number linked to your account.

It was you

Complete the operation you started on the Phone numbers page.

It wasn't you

If your phone number was linked to a corporate account

A new user is likely trying to change the number associated with the corporate account. In this case, you don't need to do anything.

If your phone number used to belong to another person

The previous owner of the number is most likely trying to unlink it from their account. In this case, you don't need to do anything.

Something else

Check the Phone numbers page. If it says nothing about phone numbers being changed or deleted, ignore the message.

If you see a message saying that the process of changing or deleting a number has started, this means that someone gained access to your account. To regain control of your account:

1. To cancel an operation, click Cancel on the Phone numbers page.

   If you don't cancel the operation within 14 days, the changes will take effect, and you won't be able to easily restore access to your account since the number you linked to it will be deleted.

2. Set a new password on the Change Password page. Follow the recommendations to come up with a secure password.

3. Change your security question or answer. Choose a question-answer pair that you'll be sure to remember and other people can't figure out.

4. Make sure that there are no other people's addresses on the Email addresses page.

   Keep in mind that you own all addresses with your username in Yandex domains, such as <your username>@yandex.com, <your username>@yandex.kz or <your username>@ya.ru. These are aliases of your email address. You can't delete them.

5. Scan your computer using a free antivirus program like CureIt! by “Dr.Web” or Virus Removal Tool by “Kaspersky Lab”.

I can't log in to Yandex

To restore access to your account, go to the Restore access page. If you linked your phone number to your account, then you can use it to change your password.
