Disable interest-based advertising

In some cases, Yandex may display ads based on your behavior on the web.

To disable this option on mobile devices:

  1. Install the app or Yandex Browser for mobile.

  2. Enable tracking so that Yandex could identify your advertising ID and stop taking your interests into account. You can disable tracking again later.

    Note

    The path may differ depending on the device.

    1. On your device, go to Settings → Security and privacy → More privacy settings → Ads.
    2. Enable targeted ads if this option is disabled.
    3. Open the Yandex app or Yandex Browser for mobile and allow tracking your activity in the window that opens.
    1. On your device, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
    2. Enable the Allow Apps to Request to Track option.
    3. Open the Yandex app or Yandex Browser for mobile and allow tracking your activity in the window that opens.

  3. Go to https://yandex.com/tune/adv.

  4. Enable the Take my interests into account option.

  5. Tap Save.
