A rich collection of exhibits, modern, technically equipped halls. Great stories from the guides. Even if you visit alone or in a small company, be sure to take a guided tour. I guarantee you won't regret it. It will be informative and interesting. Museum exhibits illustrate different periods of Kazakhstan's formation. So, everything is bright, colorful, "alive" and real. Thanks to the keepers, archaeologists, restorers and decorators for their great work!

It is an excellent choice for visiting with children or with guests of Astana, and even guests from abroad will appreciate it. Good expositions. There is a sense of scale in the hall. In my opinion, there are not enough design details, I want to "finish" this whole idea. Parking was free on the day of the visit, there was no queue at the ticket office. I was pleased with the exposition of modern art - I would like to highlight such an attraction in social networks - I think it would be interesting! The children bought souvenirs at the exit.
I can sum it up- the place is cool. I recommend you to visit. The administration should think about attracting a brand manager or a cool operator, this will take the museum to a qualitatively different level, I am for culture to the masses!
A gorgeous museum! Beautiful, modern, large-scale! I took a guided tour, it takes about 45 minutes, I learned a lot of useful information, I recommend going with a guide, and then walking around the rest of the halls on my own. The museum has 7 floors in total, but 2 did not work. In general, we walked quietly for 2 hours: 45 guided tours and a little more than an hour by ourselves.
The tour takes you through the Paleontology Hall and the Golden Hall - be sure to buy a ticket there, impressive expositions of gold and ancient people in costumes.
Be sure to visit the Astana hall - there is a light and music show at a certain time (we got there at 15.00). Interesting! I've never seen anything like it!
I liked the halls of modern art, there are not a lot of works, but they are unusual.
The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur Sultan is the largest historical museum in the country, reflecting the rich heritage and cultural diversity of Kazakhstan. Here is an approximate review:
"The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an amazing journey into the history and culture of this great country. The modern building of the museum, its expositions and exhibitions represent the rich heritage of Kazakhstan, starting from ancient times and ending with the modern period. Here you can see unique artifacts, archaeological finds, works of art and much more, revealing the history and culture of the peoples of Kazakhstan. The museum's expositions take visitors through epochs and events, combining them into a fascinating journey into the past. For those who are interested in the history and culture of Kazakhstan, visiting the National Museum is definitely on the to-do list when visiting the capital Nur Sultan.
The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana is one of the largest museums in Central Asia and represents the rich cultural heritage of this amazing region. The museum has a rich collection of artifacts, art objects and expositions reflecting the history, ethnography and achievements of Kazakhstan. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of the nation, learn about the unique traditions and culture of various ethnic groups, as well as get acquainted with the modern life of the country. The museum provides an unforgettable experience of exploring the richness and diversity of Kazakh culture and history.
A wonderful creation of modern architecture. It looks fresh and interesting. The interior is also very beautiful and majestic. From this point of view, it is a magnificent museum. I also liked the exposition. It is a pity that the pavilion of the future and space is not finished.
A good and huge complex of thematic halls on the history of Kazakhstan. Impressive architecture, interesting exhibitions. In winter, no parking was found near... only nearby there are parking lots near the houses, and some of them are paid. In general, the museum is worth visiting at least once. Entrance tickets are inexpensive. I recommend
A good museum, of course, if compared with the Mongolian one, the location of the exhibits is more convenient there, the movement pattern through the halls is clearer, and there is much more information.
In general, I really liked the exposition of gold miners, the hall of dinosaurs, and national clothes. I recommend you to visit. The 7th floor of the temporary art hall is so-so, about nothing, small. The art gallery is gorgeous.
The cost of an adult ticket is 1700 tenge, a child is 600₽
It's a really good museum with a rich exhibition which covers ages from ancient up to nowadays. Even if you stay in Astana only a couple of days, it's worthwhile to set a few hours aside for visiting this museum in order to touch Kazakh culture. When I did so, I was lead by well-educated tourguide. He was a person is interested in this field and spoke in fascinating way.
We visited the national museum, I recommend everyone to visit: high-quality exhibits, affordable prices, large territory, thematically divided by floors, by milestones in history. It is interesting for all children and adults! The guides are Russian-English-Kazakh speaking. The Golden Halls left amazing impressions.
The journey will be long) the museum is large. It will be interesting for lovers of modern and ancient history and lovers of painting.there is a hall with the remains of mammoths and dinosaurs. On the ground floor there is a fair with a bunch of national goods and an inexpensive ashana where you can have a snack. The museum impresses with the huge availability of exhibits. You can go with children of any age.
The museum is a large and modern building, which itself deserves the attention of the visitor. On the upper floors there is fine art, the collection is interesting and original. We had a guided tour on the lower floors, which, forgive the museum staff, did not like. The history, way of life, traditions of Kazakhstan deserve a more competent presentation. But we're probably just unlucky. The exhibits themselves are worthy, the museum is definitely a must see
A magnificent museum in every sense! Not going there is a crime! Gorgeous expositions from the first to the 7th floor. Ethnic costumes are amazing, panoramas are made for any circle of people. I understand that in the East they are sooo fond of gold and marble, but it is decorated with taste and a good imagination. To my great surprise, I was delighted with modern Kazakh artists, and the paintings "Girl with an earring", "Hugs" and "Father (boys)"-unfortunately the title was in English (, I'm not strong) These are now my favorites, they are forever in my heart and in my phone. I gave the last picture my name - "The Soul of the father". It is impossible to forget the hands with which he guards the sleep of children. The impression is to tears... Thank you.. I can write a lot, but you have to see it!!!
A very large museum. Beautiful exhibits. Everything is very powerful. The armor made of gold was amazing. There's a whole room full of gold. The entrance is very beautiful. The fountain in front of the museum is very beautiful. I recommend you to visit.
A wonderful museum. The building is huge, the exhibitions are located freely. Interactive screens in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. Informative, convenient. The exhibits are interesting. We went around 3 floors, the 4th was closed. But there was no strength left for him. I liked that there were many families with children of different ages: from infants to teenagers. Well done, they are learning the history of the country.
This museum is the youngest and largest among similar facilities located in Central Asia. The complex is located on Tauelsyzdyk Avenue, 54 and, at the same time, on the main square of the capital — Independence Square. The museum was created on the direct instructions of President Nazarbayev within the scope of the government program "Cultural Heritage". The building attracts attention with its unusual appearance and harmoniously fits into the nearby architectural ensemble, which includes several buildings and a monument of national importance.
It's a big, beautiful museum, but there's not much exposure for such a big building. There is a hall with a small multimedia show. The disadvantage is that there are not many explanatory signs, you either need to go by QR code or look at tablets in advance in the lobby of the museum.
A wonderful museum, a rich exposition. Separately, I would like to mention the exhibition of gold products, as early as the 2nd century BC and later.
Unfortunately, there were no audio guides in Russian. All exhibits in the museum are signed in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
The museum is good, there are different themed halls, inscriptions in three languages. But the maze. The unity of the inspection has not been thought out. You can enter the hall on the second floor and then find yourself on the ground floor, from which you can only exit back to the second. Or there are exits to other halls that you need to remember about and then return. Or, by some logic, you get from the hall of paleontology to the hall of traditions... The unity and consistency of the inspection did not work out.
A large museum with a good collection is probably the most interesting object in Astana, which is not very rich in sights. The history of the development of the Kazakh ethnic group is very well presented. I got to see a very good replacement exhibition of the art gallery
One of the best museums in Astana and Kazakhstan. I've been here several times and discovered something new each time. Huge, amazing spaces. Carefully thought-out expositions. Many thanks to the staff and administration of the museum!
How huge it is !!! But it is very interesting to learn something new, there are many different halls where you can get acquainted with the national culture of the Kazakhs!!! Everything is great 👍👍👍 I advise you to definitely visit this place+++++We came from Bashkiria ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A very large and interesting museum, modernly made. It tells in detail about culture, history and everyday life. There is also a large collection of paintings by local artists. We walked around the museum for two hours, and at a pace, a very large collection.
I advise you to go with the whole family. The expositions are very well and conveniently displayed for review. The paleontology department is impressive. The brief information is described very well and clearly.
A wonderful place, very impressive architecture and scale. Very interesting expositions: from the history of the Turkic peoples to the modern art of Kazakhstan. And there are even dinosaurs!
A great place, an interesting museum, various expositions, human history, painting, layout of Astana and much more. The inspection time is from 2 to 4 hours. There is a buffet on the ground floor, so free Wi-Fi.
The spacious (as Kazakhs like) building and the large areas of the museum are impressive, enthusiasts have something to see and study, systematically, organized and orderly. She took off the star rather for the service, for the indifference of the staff to their work, or rather to the visitors. They are busy with their personal affairs.
I liked the museum. There are not so many halls, but there is something to see. The paleontological hall was especially memorable, and we also visited the halls with pictures. The hall with gold was not very impressive, but for educational purposes you can visit.
A beautiful large museum. Questions about the authenticity of the exhibits remain, especially the costumes of the ancient Kazakhs look improbable. But the spirit of modern Kazakhstan is felt. I liked the section dedicated to space and Baikonur.
A great museum. The variety of exhibits is amazing. From national musical instruments and paintings to dinosaur skeletons, I advise all tourists to go.
The museum has a very large area! 7 floors, of which 2 floors were closed. I didn't have enough expositions in it: a large territory and few expositions. Once there was an audio guide, but now there is none and the visit turns out to be stupid. The cloakroom, elevators, escalator, toilets are all in excellent condition! But in the hall on the last 7th floor there are expositions in space-they are all covered with a layer of dust. There was even trash lying around in some expositions. At the same time, there is a viewer in each room.
We really liked the museum! We were with children aged 11 and 6. There are not many places in Astana in terms of cultural and interesting visits, I highly recommend this museum! The second one is the Energy Museum, which is also a must-visit)
I liked it very much. The guide spoke in pure Russian. By the way, there were a lot of local children's groups. It's great that from a young age, children are told about their beautiful country
A great museum! Very good exposure. It's hard to get around everything in one day. It was interesting to learn the history of Kazakhstan. The museum itself is also attractive from the point of view of architecture. It's a pity there wasn't a cafe inside, there's not much choice around in the vicinity.
A very beautiful museum! It is located almost in the very center. If you decide to come for a visa, visit, it will definitely not be superfluous. There are many beautiful exhibits and interesting national treasures.
An interesting museum from the past to the present in the space of Kazakhstan. I liked the recreated incarnations of the Sarmatians, the "golden man", and the paintings in the art hall deserve attention.
A wonderful place to get acquainted with the history and customs of the republic.
It is informative, I really liked the 3d exposition. Fresh and impressive.
Oh, the magnificent museum. There are so many interesting things there. ABOUT KAZAKHSTAN.
I advise you to take a Guide. Which will tell you a lot of interesting things about our land and the history of OUR ANCESTORS. I advise you to visit the Museum!
A modern and very spacious museum. There are many exhibits. Good accompaniment. There are not enough Russian texts in some places. There are Kazakh and English. I was pleased with the opportunity to get acquainted with the art of Kazakhstan. Like everything in Astana, it was done with a flourish and pomp. One day is not enough for a thorough examination.
I rate it by 4 points, because the museum is interesting, but it's a little empty, I understand that not all people could find it, but there were a lot of closed halls, it was impossible to pass, we were not informed about it anywhere, although we really wanted to see it! You paid the money in vain
We were at the museum night. In general, the museum is not bad, but the concept of the building is at least very strange, there seem to be a lot of exhibits and galleries, but even local workers could not explain to us how to navigate them. It resembles the labyrinth of the Minotaur, perhaps it was intended that way...
Very interesting. I was in it for the sake of an exhibition of Scythian gold and ancient periods. The exhibition is amazing. A lot of interesting things for someone who is interested in ancient times. There are a lot of schoolchildren, couples go. But: the guide leads the children running, couples walk in 5 minutes one hall. It can be seen that they visit for show. The statue of Lincoln at the entrance looks so-so, a copy, gilded. I haven't watched contemporary art.
A huge museum complex of the history of Kazakhstan with huge excesses of nationalism and Russophobia. For example, I was surprised to learn that the Russian Empire was colonizing Kazakhstan. Not a word about Russian gifts of lands. Of course you can't say that. A lot, a lot of Nazarbayev. The largest and most boring halls with photos of the former President. But given the generally small number of interesting places and a huge flow of new buildings, it's worth a visit
