We walked along the remaining wall of Halicarnassus to the gate of Mindos, though we sweated a little. But it was worth it. Imagine, this gate is 25 centuries old! People were standing without the help of machinery, lifting huge blocks to a height and adjusting them to size. Very cool! Put on your sneakers and drink some water. It offers magnificent views of the city and the bays.

To be honest, there's not much to see here, the story is interesting, but at the moment there's nothing left, everything was destroyed by Alexander the Great. There are many much more interesting sights around:an amphitheater, a mausoleum in Halicarnassus, a castle, and even mills.

The ruins of the ancient gate of the city of Halicarnassus. Alexander the Great destroyed it. Also, if you climb the gate, you can see the remains of an ancient fortress wall. I liked it, we walked from the center, everything is free, I recommend to see it.
