The Bobruisk Fortress has a complicated history since the time of Napoleon. The first concentration camp during the occupation of Belarus by Poland in 1919-1920. During the Great Patriotic War, after the occupation of the city by the invaders, the fortress housed a concentration camp for Soviet prisoners of war, Stalag No. 131. On the night of November 7, 1941, the Germans set fire to the barracks of the fortress and shot about 7 thousand prisoners of war. This episode is reflected in the story of Ales Adamovich "The Punishers". By August 1942, about 40,000 people had been killed here.
A place where you can walk for a long time, finding more and more traces of the past. It is a pity that it is not very suitable for mass tourism. It would be possible to put up a stand with a diagram and a brief history, and hang more informative signs. But it's so interesting. The ruins are in varying degrees of destruction, some buildings (which probably also belong to the fortress) are in decent condition, used for various purposes. Does it look like it's for filming a movie? The territory is large. It is interesting for fans of abandoned buildings and, in general, for those interested in history.
I give 5 stars, because it is a historical place, a landmark of the city. Unfortunately, it is neglected, polluted, destroyed. However, all this does not detract from the greatness of the fortress, its beauty. I recommend definitely visiting, but keep in mind that in some places it can be dangerous due to the deplorable state of the structures. By the way, the smell is less noticeable in the cold season.
It's great to walk through the historical ruins, it's very interesting for children, and it's necessary to know the history. Trips there are always fun and exciting.
The place is extremely interesting, but you need to visit it prepared - at least you need to have a plan of this fortress in your hands. Individual internal buildings are scattered over a large area and it is somewhat difficult to understand what is what without a plan. Even so, without a plan, it is not possible to imagine the entire scale of this structure. I see great tourist potential in this place.
An abandoned road that is interesting to climb. There is an abandoned hospital nearby, on the territory of which there are decorations from the film "Persian Lessons", which was filmed here.very plausible.
It is very atmospheric, but not refined, you can go inside (did not dare). Nearby are the barracks of the 19th century. The location is great, but not for everyone (photo in the barracks)
The Bobruisk fortress is in a ruined state, but the remains of military structures are impressive. If you get down to business, it will be a great tourist destination. Probably the main place in Bobruisk.
They got into the fortress on the recommendation of local residents and did not regret it at all. Although the place
is not gentrified for visiting, but perhaps this makes it even more interesting.
Although, of course, restoration is needed. We will wait for the opening of the museum to return with a guided tour.
Bobruisk as a whole surprised with its beauty and comfort. And the Bobruisk fortress has become just the cherry on the cake of pleasant impressions. An interesting place.
It is a pity that such a landmark remains unnoticed, it is impossible to approach the buildings, everywhere there are signs "careful, burning bricks is possible". And indeed there was nothing left of the fortress, but they could restore it and lead excursions, because at one time Napoleon was detained. It is a pity that soon there will be nothing left of this cultural monument.
Very interesting architecture.
You can climb well and plunge into the moments of the past. On the downside, no one is watching the object and therefore it is dirty. Be careful with children, do not let them go alone
A historical place that is still waiting for its time. Once they will improve, but now you can climb the ruins and think about the past of this place. Children will definitely like it - just make sure they don't fall out of nowhere
It's a great place) the only pity is that sometimes we came across garbage inside the structure. And so it was very exciting to immerse yourself in thoughts about what events took place there in the past. I advise you)
If you want to feel the ancient Russian chthon with all its might, then this place will give you such an opportunity. Both the fortress itself and the surrounding area will do everything for this.
In rainy weather, it is very scary. Because the houses end and you find yourself in a huge field with the ruins of a fortress scattered over it, where on one side there is a fence, and in the distance, a huge abandoned building
On the one hand, the story is amazing, on the other hand, the complete vacuum in time periods (in particular, the time of the USSR), the barracks built in 1830 are generally pitiful-abandonments. It is a pity that the Motherland is not involved in the restoration of the facility yet.
This fortress should be the hallmark of Bobruisk, with such a scale of buildings and such a history...
It is a pity that it is now arriving in such an unsightly form....😭
An interesting place in which the power of the era is felt, but the condition leaves much to be desired.
They were built for centuries, but not forever. I hope it will stand for the same amount of time until it goes into oblivion
For those who love history, the ruins of the fortress from the time of Napoleon to the Second World War. There is what remains of the concentration camp on the territory! It's just a heartbreaking sight! On

Plus, the Bobruisk fortress is a wild place where there is no one, nothing is well maintained and no one is watching it in any way.
You can climb where it's open. Wander through the ruins, around the area, climb the embankment.
The disadvantage of the Bobruisk fortress is a wild place where there is no one, nothing is well maintained and no one is watching it in any way.
People are clearly gathering inside the redoubts, burning bonfires, drinking, painting walls, leaving garbage. Everything is falling apart, and in a couple of decades there will be nothing left.
Nothing is well maintained, neither to buy an excursion, nor to inspect the buildings properly.
It's a pity that this is so
The place turned out to be very atmospheric. Although we were in terrible heat with children and just passing through. But after standing for 5 minutes on a hill near the ruins, I managed to catch some spirit of the times. It is a pity that it is in terrible desolation. And nothing is being done about it, and of course everything is boarded up there and not to visit, not to walk. But it's worth a look.
The place could become a tourist highlight of Bobruisk, but, unfortunately, it is in a depressing state!!! The fortress is being destroyed before our eyes, the whole district is overgrown with weeds!!! I recommend paying attention to the fort: Where in the best preservation only 1 km from it on the bank of the Berezena, however, it will not work to get into it - a vegetable store. The city authorities could not come up with a better application of an excellent tourist attraction!!!!
The remains of a military citadel, which are more than 200 years old, are scattered over a vast territory. Unfortunately, there are few of them and in a deplorable state. It's worth a look.
The fortress is in a deplorable state. The premises of the fortress are very dirty and, to put it mildly, it is simply dangerous to walk around the complex. There are no tracks and no route. Perhaps if there were tablets with historical information, it would be more interesting.
