The Royal Palace is another recognizable landmark in Madrid. It was modeled after the French Versailles, and it is the largest royal residence in Europe. However, now the monarch and his family do not live here, but they use the palace for especially important meetings and events. When Philip VI is in the palace during the ceremonies, a flag is raised over the building. But there was no flag, so we went in. A building of almost 3,500 rooms and halls appeared before us. On the ground floor there is the Royal Armory with one of the world's best collections of medieval weapons and armor. The palace's art gallery features a collection of paintings, including works by Goya, Caravaggio and Salvador Dali. The main masterpiece of the museum is one of three paintings with the same name by Hieronymus Bosch "Christ bearing the Cross". The royal library also houses ancient manuscripts, including notes belonging to the hand of Leonardo da Vinci. In addition, the palace houses a rich collection of musical instruments, Stradivarius violins are of particular value. The ticking of 200 different mechanisms can be heard in the palace, as many kings of Spain were keen watch collectors. You can spend half a day looking at the details of the decoration, which are drawn to independent works of art. Please note that photo and video shooting is prohibited inside the palace, and you can only take a picture on the main staircase.

A magnificent palace! Although how could a king, especially an acting one, be otherwise? Despite the fact that photography is not welcome in the palace, a walk through the Royal Palace turned out to be quite interesting... By the way, the ticket price is 14 euros, the audio guide is 5 euros.

The atmosphere is magical, it is obligatory to visit with a guide. Of all the palaces, my favorite is the Winter Palace. and Schoenbrunn..These are true palaces with silk on the walls, with the play of light, amazing parquet, and fascinating dishes that deserve a separate review.

No one went inside. We took a walk in the parks around, from where you can take great photos. It's better to come early, then there are a lot of people. Right next to the viewport and the Catholic church.

It was a pity I couldn't buy a ticket on the official website on the Internet, and there were long queues at the ticket offices near the palace. I'll try to prepare better next time. But according to the reviews and reviews on the Internet, there really is something to see.

Delightfully beautiful, luxurious interiors. An aesthetic pleasure that has no end. A huge number of magnificent pieces of furniture and art. Be sure to purchase tickets online in advance, the queue for tickets on the spot is really impressive, you will lose a lot of time. There are audio guides. And in each hall there are information signs in English and Spanish.

Of course, there are dozens of unique places to visit in Madrid, of which it is difficult to choose a few if you come to the city for just a few days. Moreover, there are also wonderful locations nearby - Toledo, Escorial, etc. But the Royal Palace must be visited. It is impossible to list the unique rooms and exhibits - see the palace's website or at least on Wikipedia. https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%B2%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9_%D0%B4%D0%B2%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%86_%D0%B2_%D0%9C%D0%B0%D0%B4%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5

The facades of the building are very beautiful. The palace is surrounded by a well-kept garden of the same era. There are many marble statues of mythical heroes in the garden

It is obligatory to visit. The audio guide pleases - it tells and shows everything in detail. The palace is very interesting and beautiful. The main tour of the palace is mandatory, as well as the armory and I recommend an excursion to the royal kitchen.

We haven't been inside, but it looks impressive from the outside. There are a lot of queues at the entrance. I advise you to take a walk nearby and decide if you want to visit the palace inside.
